The aj6 engine is a derivative of the v12. I understand the heads fit...
One head may fit, but the cam sprocket on the other would be at the wrong end of the engine. The air inlets and exhausts outlets would also be the wrong way round.

You might want to use translate or Google before embarrassing yourself with posts like that.

Sorry, but I think this is terrible.

The XJ13's ponderous looks were forgivable due to it's historic context, but this one just looks bulbous and mis-proportioned.
Agreed, in my opinion hideous.

XJ13 was a 5.0L Quad Cam V12.. Production Jag V12 engines were SOHC per bank. (and ranged from 5.3 to 6.0L)

I can't make out from the pictures, but will this engine be SOHC per bank or Quad Cam? Text says Quad Cam, but that would be horribly expensive to engineer for such a short production run wouldn't it?
It's a quad-cam .....

It looks great, an awesomebmight-have-been, though the original still looks better IMO. Think it's the headlamps, though these probably work better. laugh Still I'd rather have one of these than another limited modern Ferrari... if I already had my dozen supercars of course.

The original XJ13 was a stunning car - absolutely gorgeous in person. Not entirely sure about the modern treatment - would have to stand next to it to see. smile

XJ13 had four camshafts and 48 valves. Jaguar tried using some of these cylinder heads during the Le Mans campaigns in the 1990s and the original XJ220 prototype used them before the production vehicle settled on V6 twin-turbo drivetrain.

Would be interested to see what Ecurie Ecosse use...

I always thought it was a shame only one XJ13 ever got built, so I really like this.

Now I just need to sort out a lottery win! laugh

How poetic would it be if the retro XJ13 eventually got the engine developed but not delivered for the XJ220.

You are now on official PH probabtion - normally you would have to hand in your membership card, but if you stay, you may be educated..............

Very famous name in motorsport, particularly linked with jaguar Le Mans cars.

The heads are completely different. The XJ13 is only 2v, with the inlet porting running in between the two wide-angle camshafts. The later Group C/XJ220 heads were modern 4v crossflow heads.
