A cool flipping dude, without even trying. Like him.

Nick Mason: My dads friend previously bought Nick's F40 and now (according to dad that saw it the other month), he now owns Nick's 250 GTO Ferrari.

I went out in the F40 back then and was blown away but I didn't know Nick had sold his 250 GTO?

Something wrong there. Nick wont sell his 250GTO, was offered £64m for it two years ago, and still has his F40
That is interesting. I do know the F40 wasn't fictitious as I went out in it. It had the number plate F40. Who the previous owner was (the story was Nick was in the way to buy his F50...). The 250 GTO I haven't seen but my dads a car nut for 60 years so it will be a GTO. He said it was like a racecar 250 GTO not a pristine red polished number.

Some people like to stretch the truth and that's why I asked here. Thx

Could it have been a 288 GTO?

The 250 GTO would be well north of £70m if you could even get Nick to sell it (bearing in mind he's owned it since the 70s) He still has it.

The F40 plate is F40 NPG, IINM. I had a poster of it on my bedroom wall when I was a kid.

There's 9 F40's stored at Bicester, just as investments.
Nick paid 35K for his 250GTO in 1977

Yep, that particular car has been in a lot of magazines over the years, I remember very well that 'Fast Lane' magazine did a test of various cool cars with Mark Hales driving them and had an actual audio cassette (remember those?) included with that issue.

I also once saw that very car in Bridgnorth, Shropshire. It looked like a spaceship had appeared!

I think it was nearer £70k. I’m having lunch with the previous owner next week. I’ll ask him.

He needed the money then to buy another famous Ferrari.

I believe Jay Kay sold his Enzo some time ago. Certainly V17 JET is not attached to it any more.

He was out in it a couple of months ago.
