Indeed. It was the subject of an episode of Supercar Megabuild, series 1. Then lo and behold, in series 2 when Shane Lynch was one of the "engineers" working for Alex Prindiville, it appeared on the Prindiville website for sale.

I know, I know: I've seen most of both series of Supercar Megabuild. It was a sort of morbid fascination to keep watching. getmecoat

Mid 90's I watched Chris Eubank do a 3 point turn, not that remarkable apart from two things:

1) It was in Kensington High Street in the middle of rush hour

2) It was in this....

I saw him driving that around Brighton a few years ago, since he lives down that way.

Anyway, these days a lot of sports people are of course in sponsorship deals aren't they, so what you see them driving might well be because they've been given it, rather than bought it themselves?

EG when Freddie was on Top Gear talking about his Rovers etc that were company cars.

And there was something I recall about some top-spec manager of football having to delay his appointment announcment until his own sponsorship deal with another car company had expired, as his new club had a deal elsewhere? (IE, said manager was always "seen" in a Jaguar, I think, when going to work, but the new club was locked in with Audi)

Jacob Rees-Mogg has an old Lexus 400 as his everyday car.

The former French rugby player Sebastian Chabal used to drive a Smart car. No idea how as he's absolutely massive.

Old Engelbert enjoys the fruits of his labours...

You'd very occasionally see him pottering around the village in a blue Corniche with this plate, it only did 200 miles in the last five years. Not had an MOT for two years now though.
I saw an interview on TV a while back where he's standing in front of that blue Corniche. He and Tom Jones were both managed by Gordon Mills in the '60s and they all had RRs, these were taken in February '69 at Elstree, the building behind them in the colour pic features in the opening titles of 'UFO'...

Found the Corniche...

Norman Wisdom made do with a Mk1 Austin Cooper...

He used to race a Marcos too

Im pretty sure he used to have an Impreza P1 too.

Shane Lynch is a proper petrolhead and has had / driven all sorts of good stuff. Seen him racing a Tuscan in brit GT amongst others.

I expect Jay Leno wins as celebrity with most interesting cars.

Jay Kay has had a fair few too.

One that surprised me a bit was Steven Tyler from Aerosmith having a Venom!

Jeff Beck has always been a keen hot rodder and has built a few himself, this pic is from '67 with a car he later modified...

Jim McCarty of The Yardbirds had a Mk1 Mini 850 in '68...

Peter Wyngarde owned both of the Bentleys he drove on screen in 'Department S' and 'Jason King' wearing false Swizz numberplates, the red one was also used in 'Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased)' wearing its genuine number HAL 14...

His co-star in 'Department S' Joel Fabiani owned an E-Type while he was in England filming the series...

Ringo owned a Facel Vega from '64 to '68, the second pic shows the car on John Lennon's driveway in Weybridge (Ringo lived virtually next door) with his chauffeur Les Anthony...

Didn't all of Barcelona's players have to give their Audis back recently as the sponsorship deal ended?

It was John Entwistle who had the 375L (unless Pete's wife also had one..?). John's was originally dark blue but is now metallic gold, one of six made in RHD and not so long ago featured in 'Classic & Spotrtscar' mag and was for sale at DD Classics.

James Coburn had a couple of beautiful Ferraris...

Marcello Mastroianni had a Lancia Flaminia Super Sport 3C Zagato…

Sir Cliff had a Wood & Pickett Margrave Clubman...

George Harrison was fond of Mercs, he crashed this one...

Macca pulls up outside his house in St.John's Wood in his Radford Coooper S in March '67...

George got done for speeding in his Radford in June '67 just before he had it repainted in psychedelic fashion, Beatles Monthly mag duly reported it in August...

IINM, George Harrison also had a Mclaren F1, although I can't find any pics of it.

Rumour has it that his son, Dhani, inherited it and still has it?

Imagine what that's worth......

I've heard that too yes. The family still own the psychedelic Cooper S which comes out of hiding occasionally, George was filmed driving it for the Beatles Anthology series in '95, and Damon Hill drove it to Goodwood about ten years ago with Ringo in the passenger seat. Would love to see it in the flesh but I keep missing it when it comes out to play.

George and John were filmed in it for the 'Magical Mystery Tour' in September '67...

In the car park at Abbey Road in early '67...

Mixed bag from the '66 to '69 period...

Lennon driving his Radford Cooper S through Weybridge in '68, taken by a fan who knocked on his door and was taken round to George's house in Esher where the White Album rehearsal tapes were recorded, the pic I posted earlier of George and Ringo with their Minis was taken on the same day...
