I keep seeing it mentioned that this engine is becoming unavailable due to some kind of 'deal' with Ford expiring.
I was under the impression that the AJV8 and its iterations were a wholly Jaguar design?.
I would guess that it's a legacy from Jaguar being in Ford's PAG back in the day and that the tooling and manufacturing setup are all within the Ford Bridgend plant which is closing in 2020I was under the impression that the AJV8 and its iterations were a wholly Jaguar design?.

At the moment we are going through a period where loud people are shouting that everything will be an EV by this time next week andnother loud people are shouting that if everything isn’t an EV by next week the whole of humanity will be dead but cut through the army of ‘End is Nigh’ and the shimmering suited salesmen and the quiet reality is that ICE will make a comeback and the big manufacturers know this. The biggest ICE engines are almost certainly on the way out and so they are all doing deals to use each others because there is no long term profit in everyone designing big cc engines but small cc engines are still being invested in as they will be around for decades.
