I make that an epic £1,501 per mile!
Exactly what I was thinking.
it's also lost 75% of it's value - Bargain!

Did they make it in estate form? That would be the perfect ludicrously rapid load-hauler...

Those covers do come off, as mentioned in the comments.

Interesting machine, it's cool that it exists and everything, but I'm not really sure what it's for?

I can get 800bhp supercars as at least you can take it on the track and stretch it's legs a bit. This isn't that sort of motor, but it doesn't seem especially practical either, not really something to pop to the shops in...
It is as practical as any other E class saloon from that era, what would prevent you going to the shops in it?
Well... I take the point you could use it for anything in theory... park it in Asda car park, commute to work and back in it, offroading, etc... I just see it such an excessive vehicle in which you would do so, it doesn't really make sence to me personally. I imagine the fact that this is a 10 year old, £150k saloon might have something so do with it, my most expensive car purchase to date is £2.25k so it's a bit unrelatable.

Let me just say that if I had a spare £150k for a car purchase, it wouldn't go on this. If I was a zillionaire and wanted something rare and interesting for my burgeoning collection, then maybe.

When my CL65 was in for servicing at MB World it was parked next to this Brabus. At first I thought what a hideous thing but close up the engineering like all Brabus vehicles was outstanding.

Well done. I was only posting it up to show it without the slats, but thanks for pointing out the obvious anyway - I never would have known.

Not in that model, but later. Just Google Brabus V12 Estate and you'll get loads of pics/videos. https://youtu.be/aZ6l6ZOALDs

I guess if you're a powerfully-built company director in Germany, you could have this and a chauffeur to get you from (say) Stuttgart to Frankfurt, or Dresden to Dortmund in maximum comfort and minimum time.

All that power/torque and the current Mercedes A45s is still only 2 tenths of a second behind it to 60. It just proves that weight can be the enemy when it comes to performance.

I more I think about it...the more I want an A45s! cool
I imagine 60-100 and every other increment up to 230 the Brabus will smash the A45 though.

Think you're just struck on the limit of traction from a standing start more than anything.

What a machine! smokin

Ha, yeah maybe... I would have thought something like a brand new Merc S350d would be the more appropriate tool for the job though, plus one could put the £100k or so change to good use too. Unless the mere 155mph restriction proves something of a hold up.

Unrelatability is a different proposition to practicality as you point out. The fact is though that Brabus sell very expensive cars year in, year out so there is sustainable market for them.

I don't imagine that many with their first and only 150K to spend on a car would be instantly drawn to this but I very much doubt that any half million pound Brabus has ever been part of a single car garage, and I doubt that this will end up being in one either, so it's not like they have to all things to all men.

Someone might see this as a relative bargain if they are the market for a very special super saloon to add to the stable.

It must just be me that likes the wheel spats! I reckon that they'd look great on the original CLS.

It is strong in the depreciation department but not quite that strong, more £150 per mile, which is, let's be honest, pretty incredible!
No, it’s closer to £1,501 per mile.

Nope, I like 'em too. Not so keen on the carbonfibre finish - they'd have looked far better if they were painted to match the rest of the bodywork - but they definitely transform the looks from "very fast Merc saloon" to "lunatic speed machine based on a Merc saloon".

It really isn't. I've done a rough online conversion for 600,000 Euros into gbp for 2009 and the car has lost approximately £363,860 in the 10 years and 3000 miles (assuming that it sells for the asking price). That works out at around £121.29 per mile.
