I bet another 20k that the clutch pedal still squeaks
Squeaky Vauxhall clutch pedals! Every mk2 and 3 Cavalier and mk2 and 3 Astra I've ever driven or been in had one, thinking about it now my mate's Novas and my mother's old Corsa made the same funny noise when you pushed the clutch too, they don't build them like that anymore...

I always wanted to buy a Cavalier 4x4, the bog standard one with grey bumpers and such like
as did I... the last one I saw for sale online was asking something like £5,995 from a bit of a dreamer over in NI! There was a chap on the old Vx forum who had one, brought it to a couple of meets, but was a total bellend unfortunately. Used the 4wd to cake someone else's car in mud at a very rainy PVS after he'd had too many beers and decided we'd rather be rid of him, so I banned him.
Car was actually kind of cool though
Bit of a disparate collection in this one
My Calibra V6 with the F25 box is cable clutch? I've never driven a Cavalier but they're based on the same chassis so I would assume the handling characteristics are similar. A quick google says the Calibra V6 comes in at 1280kg whereas the Cavalier comes in at 1275-1295kg, depending on 4 or 5 door variant.
I'd actually quite like this, but 20k is too much for me. I'd love to play with an XE too, I've never had the chance to properly drive one and see what it can do. I hope this fella gets the price he wants for it though, and the new owner drives it like it should be driven! Nice to see fast Vauxhalls going up in value.

.
Luxury CDX spec manual Cav saloon weighed in at 1340kg .
They could certainly shift though even with only a claimed 168bhp
60 came up in 7.2 seconds even with skinny 195s and front wheel drive, under 20 seconds to 100 and well over 140mph on a long straight
Not bad economy either compared to the Laguna and Mondeo V6s
