I never liked the VW Bugatti approach to making massively powerful supercars, it just seemed a bit lazy, for want of a better word, compared to what went before and lacked the purity of an F40 or McLaren F1

And yet I’m now conflicted, as there’s something very old school about Bugatti producing a 1500hp supercar with just the aid of a turbocharged engine. They’re sticking with the same philosophy as the EB110 used nearly three decades ago, despite almost every competitor going down the hybrid / regenerative / EV approach. “Bravo” is what I think I’m saying

Still feckin ugly though

Genuinely horrible device. What a way to ruin the Chiron.

Considering the EB110 is no oil painting itself, how have they managed to make this so flipping ugly? Why does it look so odd? I can’t understand modern design where there is a whole team of experienced trained professionals with significant funding behind them and this is the outcome?

Dot think it is particularly pretty, but certainly striking. Do like how they made an effort to reflect/mimic some of the design elements of the 110
That is a big engine
Would love to own one of the modern Bugattis - must be amazing on the Autobahn / as a car to travel long distances

I don’t understand the hatred towards cars like this on PistonHeads. Is it because you will never be able to afford one? .
I’d say the vast majority of people here who like cars like these will never be able to afford one either.

The comments section on almost every (free to read) article is full of miserable ***** moaning about something, I remember why I don’t visit the site much anymore.
I like the Chiron and Veyron. This however is awful.

Bugatti are a great company and I think this is great. Might not be the prettiest looking car ever made but certainly striking.

Never really liked the ooks of the EB110 but I was blown past by one near Hethel (I was in a Land Rover!) and it looked absolutely amazng snaking sideways in an almost but not quite out of contol fashion towards Wymondham. I then sat behind it at the Browick Road level crossing before it pootled quite sensibly past the school with masses of steam emanating from it ...

Bugatti is where industrial design has gone to die. Piss poor from every angle.

Lets face it, I read "blah blah blah - we know there are enough billionairs now that we can make cars to-order for them, and they'll queue up to buy"

That's the reality of it.

I'm quite a capitalist, but it's getting rather disgusting now.
