Uses the convertible rear end and an XJ6 rear screen. Shame about the later federal dash, although some like them.

An classic example in design terms of, 'just because you can, doesn't mean you should'.

Agreed. That has all the wrong bits on all the wrong cars. The beautiful rear of the hard top gone, the soft top of the convertible gone.

Still an Interceptor but one only it's mother could love.

Rarer than you think. This is what's retrospectively referred to as the "Hard Top"; only three or four built, plus one (red) S4 example built in the 1980s.

With the "60" number, you are referring (I think) to the "Coupe", which was a different model, with a Panther-designed hard top.

What is sometimes referred to as the "Federal" dash is the one introduced in the Mk 2 Interceptor in 1969. The much later "walnut dash" (as in the car pictured) was Jensen getting away from the plastic Federal dash and back to a more "coach-built" design.
