It is attached to the isofix points.

It was a Wiechers-Sport cage.
I will take your word for it but was told by people on here more knowledgeable than myself that it still stiffens things up noticeably like any additional bracing always does.

30 seconds with a search engine and I've already found a couple of cars that have been around the ring quicker than Chestrockwell's Civic is ever going to manage.

Chestrockwell - were you driving through Guildford at 5 ‘o clock today? I was two cars behind if you were.

How could you do that when by your own admission, you've never been anywhere near a track day as you can't afford the tyres? Which also means you don't have the faintest idea, skilset or experience to explore more than 50% of your car's track performance, ie lat grip, traction and braking? Which is a far less than many track billes with much lesser cars who would make you look very silly on track. Sounds very much like the perfect “all the gear, no idea".
He probably doesn’t drive it at all, spends all his time spamming up threads on here about his ugly non-record breaking version.

Your FWD car in your hands is a 10:00 car, even if you save up for tyres, goodnight.

True but with a professional behind the wheel, it does 7.43 which is very impressive, quicker than an M2 Competition, I’ll take that

And an M3/4 CS is faster that the CTR.

There’s ways something quicker out there...

Joking aside, Panda 100hp's, with a decent set of tyres and suspension setup are very swift around the 'Ring.

it looks lovely but I've never got the stripped out kit thing - I get that it's lightness etc but for most of the people most of the time they just lack the aircon and rear seats - seems daft in a car like this.

Ill say it again. The Clubsport S cane with AC standard but you could opt not to have it. I think only 5 buyers chose not to. A wrong move as the price of the car here confirms.

Stripped out and void of soundproofing etc etc brings you back to the bare bones of the car. A purer driving experience.

If you need a rear seat then the Clubsport 40th edition was available for family coseyness

Mate we get it, your car is fast when a racing driver drives it. As long as you enjoy your car then that's fine good for you. But doesn't mean that you can come on here and make yourself feel all big by saying how fast your civic is. You just sound like a tt laugh

You just seem insecure, probably about the fact that you will never get near 7.43. Yes your car is faster and more expensive then mine is, that's fine, I enjoy my car when I drive it. Only difference is I don't have to justify and show off in front of everyone else about it. Chill out, everyone likes different things, some people don't like the look of your car, some people do its life.

The record has already been taken by something else. He just made excuses for it not counting and his car still being better laugh

I take comfort in the fact that my car will run rings around this 911 C2 hehe

Run rings of depreciation around that 911.

As for an M2 comp, it might not be as quick around the ring but it would be a far more enjoyable and exciting drive than the CTR.

I bought a Clubsport S one of the 5 without AC into stock for my car sales business. I didn't think the lack of AC would matter, track focused, etc etc. Longest car in stock I have ever had. Ever.

Was one truly special, agile car to drive. Probably one of the most exciting cars I have ever driven and genuinely had a smile on my face every time I used it. So nimble and agile and the most responsive car to inputs I have personally ever used. Felt so light.
The only thing that topped that smile from driving it was the smile when it finally sold and drove away after nearly 12months.

I well believe it. To be fair on the, admittedly limited, track days I have experienced the quickest car on paper has rarely been the quickest car on the day, with the one notable exception where a very fast car was being driven very competently.

Genuine question, surely these ring records are fairly useless for the 'my car is faster than yours' point? especially when comparing to older cars where the manufacturer barely made an effort to set any time? In the case of the civic, it was an objective they undoubtedly went to great lengths to achieve e.g.suspension setup, stripping out and most importantly providing flagship tires which otherwise compromise the car as an all round road car?

Put the same amount of effort into a new 997 C2 with similar tyre compound and I suspect the 7:43 lap time wont be far from achievable?
