I drive ours everyday, 32.7mpg over the month...
I diid alot of long runs in mine - mix of A roads and motorways and regularly got 40mpg. This was after I had the BBR 185 kit + sports exhaust fitted. When the car was standard the MPG was much worse - below the official figures. Posted about it before on "why is my car so gutless at low revs" thread. So perhaps a combination of being able to keep it in a higher gear at low speeds, and better breathing at high speeds. Anyway, this detracts from the thread ..

"Thought 100hp per litre through normal aspiration was now only the preserve of hypercars?"

Economy is worthy of note .... we were shocked at how good it was even during very spirited driving :-)

We've got the NC, but a Mazda 6 with that screen controller. Never used it in 6 years of having the car. Not sure why it's needed in the MX-5 with the screen so close?
On my ND the touch screen is disabled when moving - I have to use the controller if I want to make any changes while driving.

TBH, I prefer using the controller anyway. I don't actually like using the touchscreen and it also avoids fingerprints.

You can’t use the touchscreen above 10mph. It defaults to the controller.

Out of interest, are these BBR kits listed on insurance databases or do you have to name every component separate ?

Not listed (in my experience) but really easy to get quotes these days, just tell them everything .... usually covered under the normal headings, engine, exhaust, brakes, suspension etc. Typically ask for % performance gains and if lowered by how much !!

I bought a Mazda 100th anniversary trim nd.2/2L which had been through the full BBR220 upgrade, with a brakes and suspension/handling upgrades.

The increase in performance and handling of over my nd/1.5L is astonishing. And yet, it's still a cheap car to tax and maintain.
