Thought Volvo were limiting all their cars to 112mph?

Having had an XC90 T8 twin engine thing for a weekend test drive I quickly wrote it off as a useless vehicle. Yes I could get to work and back on electric only. Any long runs soon deplete the battery unless you drive like Miss Daisy, meaning all you have left is a juicy highly strung petrol engine with the economy to match. No good for long business miles when it’s my business picking up the bill!

Hitch up the caravan and economy was was 15mpg...

Not worth it for me...but will probably suit others.

The dealer principal also only had his for 2 months before going back to the deisel version!

Polestar opted out of that.

“Polestar – Volvo’s now-standalone performance brand – confirmed to TopGear.com that its cars won’t be subject to the speed limit. “While Polestar benefits from all the safety technology that Volvo Cars has brought to market,” a spokesperson told us, “all of which will be fitted to Polestar cars, Polestar is a standalone brand and can decide which safety technologies it adopts.

“As a performance brand, we have decided not to implement the speed limiter.””

Sounds similar to that Mitsubishi PHEV thing.
In my old work the car park was full of them, all the sales reps grabbed them for the BIK and then complained they were slow and needing filling up everyday.
Finance manager was spitting feathers; nobody was plugging them in and the fuel card reports showed many were averaging less than 20mpg.

Apologies for the thread bump.

I’ve just ordered one of these for my new company car and wondered if there were any owners in the PH community?
