Why the hate for SUV convertibles?
Discussion
In the 90's the zeitgeist was why do all cars look so alike? Now we have real diversity of styles, design languages, niches et all, yet people all moan about it. Would I buy this type of car, no chance. If anyone else wants to, even if friends, family, wife, their call. No problems here with people all being different.

I am sure you have no idea how much of an idiot your post makes you sound like.I find it easy to accept that different people like different things even if they don't like the same things as me. Only a prized idiot wouldn't get that IMO.

I bought this skip brand new and it has at least doubled in value since 2009, iam such an idiot. I find it easy to accept that different people like different things even if they don't like the same things as me. Only a prized idiot wouldn't get that IMO.

I love convertibles - make everything a convertible !
Including Range Rovers - why not ?
Pretty much this. The dullest car in the world becomes fun with the roof down. I had a basic Mk1 1.6 Megane soft top for about 3 years. Bloody loved it. Including Range Rovers - why not ?

What were vw actually thinking? It serves no purpose and it looks silly. Who would buy a convertible suv?
I reckon it serves the purpose of being a convertible and a SUV, which is more than the purpose of a SUV and more than the purpose of a convertible.
The people in question seem to have found purposes for them, stuff like going places they go to. A bit like a car basically.

To be honest i dislike any soft-top car.
I'm the exact opposite, but i won't be calling you an idiot. We just like different things. People who call others idiots for liking different cars to them fail to understand that if everyone liked what they liked, it would probably be a lot more expensive. But I guess the complexities of supply and demand are lost on these knuckle draggers.
