Blame the weight advantage, the Morgan lugging around in the region of 400kg less with more torque; there's just so little inertia, a trait of the light car/big engine blueprint that no level of technology can replicate (save perhaps electrification - and even that feels like a different kettle of fish).
Word salad. “It is also, in the right situation - which includes moments in the real-world that don't feature an empty Welsh B-road - tremendously entertaining. When it's not the right situation and there's a brand-new F-Type also trundling down a sodden motorway in rather more comfort, it's less so.”
I teach Year 4s who write more succinctly.
That Jaguar bodged up V6 is just in a car that expensive. I thought Mercedes were taking the piss with their "value engineered" 90 degree 3 valve V6 engines in expensive cars but trust JLR to show the world how to really half-ass a job.
Hopefully the Ingenium I6 will be less "meh" than the I4; speaking as a big fan of Jaguars and someone who sincerely hopes that the company suceed the current lineup and engines (legacy V8 and V6d aside) is about as appealing as a dose of the clap.

I Have the 380HP V6 in my F-Pace S and it's a great motor. It also does a fine job propelling the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, XJ, XF etc.... It's based on the 5.0 V8 in any eventHopefully the Ingenium I6 will be less "meh" than the I4; speaking as a big fan of Jaguars and someone who sincerely hopes that the company suceed the current lineup and engines (legacy V8 and V6d aside) is about as appealing as a dose of the clap.
I had an F-Type R for 3 years (as well as an F-Type V8 S and an XKR) and it's a stonking beast with that engine but the performance from the V6 is more than adequate for most.
I didn't think Morgan the "modern" car company could do anything to make me despise their lazy, unimaginative, st car building business any more, but here you go. It's an ugly car, that slab back end is just awful. Maybe in the '50s it wasn't the most unappealing car on the road, but I bet it wasn't far from the bottom. Now it's nearly 2020 and they're still pumping out the same ste with a modern engine. I'm sure they're going to sell every single one at the ridiculous price they charge for their ancient heaps because there's an relentless audience of flat capped morons out there who'll eat this retro-tttery up all the while convincing themselves it's not a st bd of modern and ancient, and worse than both.

As traditional for PH - you can get a used Maclaren for that money...
For £35k you can have a very nice used F type 5l V8 convertible. The Morgan will retain its value rather well I suspect, so after a couple of years of ownership the Jag owner will have taken a bath on the value vs the Morgan.
Is the Morgan available with manual gearbox?

You are an angry, angry man I think an Evora would fit into this comparison, no? V6, similar-ish price, British, is inbetween the two when you look in weight and probably how it is to drive?

what about drulling the f type structure to lighten it!
that would work!!
you put loads of holes in the ali frame obviously in th right place so as not to weaken it
and there you go!
infact jag could charge more for it under the hype that
LESS IS MORE! (of a good thing)
tell me what you all think
