The question I would like to ask of the non multi millionaires is - would you sell your whole car collection to own just this?
Say you had 5-10 cars approaching £4/500k in value that covered every automotive base are there any of you that would bin them all off just to have one of these behind the roller shutter?

My dream car, when I was a teenager. Probably helped by autocar doing 174 mph in one, an incredible speed back then. It was the fastest road car for a very long time.
Mine too, for the same reason! I think it remained the fastest car Autocar or Motor magazine had tested for 5 years or more - the BB wasn't as quick. 0-60 was 5.4 seconds IIRC and it got to 100 mph at the end of a standing 1/4 mile - and also looked stunning (well from the front - I'm not so sure about the rear). My Dad bought a 2 year old Fiat 125 from a bomb-site trader in Balham in 1972 for £895 - but there was a Daytona in a showroom on the other side of the road that was up for £5,950.
Some years later I discovered he had more than enough tucked away in Building Society accounts to have bought the Daytona.
Still, they both had the same handbrake lever!

Stunning car but i thought by all accounts not a great drive
I don't recall any of the road tests of the day saying so, even into the late 70's.My guess is that 'the not great drive' is due to comparisons with more modern cars, which really is just a 'no st Sherlock' moment.
Although this represents a marvelous opportunity for somebody (not me sadly) to buy a nearly "as new" Daytona, it makes me so sad to see cars like this with such low mileages. What is the point of owning something like this if not to take it out and drive at least a few times a year (FAOD, I mean 3 or 4 thousand miles a year rather than a 20k pa hack!)
