Seen a few now, looking forward to the 90 version tbh...it might tempt me back to the fold...

Hardly realistic though is it! No dead sheep or giraffes. No fat lad in hi-viz driving at 5mph down a track a little old lady had just driven her Micra down without batting an eyelid. And all that kit and money and no one thought to place a boulder on the road and ask Craig to drive over it at one metre and hour for some random reason? And no Thunderbirds music!!

I was initially annoyed with the very slow drip by drip approach of release to market. But actually it's now growing on me and I am getting more interested despite myself.

Videos like this help. I love it a lot.

And I am starting to think I NEED a Defender 90

Arse! Videos like that can only make it popular and hit the prices of D4s (which I have) and strengthen the prices of Defenders (wot I want...)

It's ace. biggrin

Funny. In quite a few shots the two tone colour makes them look just like Mitsubishi Shoguns. I actually saw a thumbnail on YouTube for the same vid and I really did think it was a load of Shoguns.

Such a shame JLR didn’t bother to make the new vehicle even partially resemble the old one frown

Have you seen one? In the video yes I can see a slight resemblance to Shogun but in real life there isn't.

They still sadly don’t really share any design traits with a Series/Defender. In the flesh or in photos. frown

Coming from a D4; these are on my radar as my next car.

Love the classless nature of the older Disco’s; D4 back - and these Defenders may be the closest we get.

Had a good pour over one of these in Edinburgh over Christmas, outdoor display by Harvey Nichols, once the LR salesman finished acting as if he was security detail for a US President.

Actually really like them. Good looking car, just the right balance of class and ruggedness. Interior seemed very well built and the whole car had an aura of sophisticated utilitarianism

A few seem to have them. I’ve seen them on transporters,

My local one didn’t last week.

'To my untrained eye it looks very different from the old Defender.'

Incisive reporting right there.

I went into my nearest dealer on the weekend and they had been due to receive a demo car (maybe more?) last week. They are expecting delivery any time now but it sounds as if that could be any time in March.

Wonder what the unofficial wading depth is? That looks deeper than 900cm.
