Those wing mounts look like something knocked up by a kid with a 3D printer and don't suit the car but then again it isn't a 911.

Slightly off topic, but I've been looking at the Gen 1 GT4s and a few at around 70k mark...

Realistically how much would you have to put down and pay monthly to own one if you didn't have 70k just to throw away in one go?
I nearly did this a few months ago. £75k GT4.

£30k deposit. £350 a month, and £41k Balloon at the end. Worked out at £12,600 in interest payments over 3 years.

Dealer was quite keen on me going PCP, as I suppose he want's the car back to then sell on again, and then stick me in a newer GT4.

Other half wasn't keen on a GT4 though. So now looking at Carrera T's.

Because....as said before....it camouflage to hide the Profile of the wing stays. How do people not realise this? It’s a car website, every prototype ever is disguised. How is this news to anyone?!

Bloody hell. Admittedly I only scanned it. Now I don’t feel so bad I’ll never own one. Why is no one complaining about that? Regular gt4 even with the long gears please.
Because 99% of people would spec PDK in an RS model Porsche
99%? Really? You mean of the ones who can’t drive?
There are lots of them running around the nurburgring every day. Perhaps you should go over there and show them how it's done.

Are 911 owners really so insecure about the contents of their underpants that they cannot possibly have another model of Porsche sold with an equally powerful engine without causing anxiety issues ?

Why can't they just sell people the cars they want?

Couldn’t agree more. GT4 so much better looking and the platform has so much more potential that it’s really pathetic that the old beetle dictates everything Porsche does.

In that video it's absolutely ripping around that track. Looks incredibly fast and planted. Gonna need a G-suit to drive it round a tight bend! biggrin

Certainly looked impressively composed and sounded pretty special too.

It’ll handle as good as it will look and at a £100k, I’d say that’s fantastic value for money.

I’ve gone with the new Cayman GTS 4.0. I think it’s going to be 90% of a GT4, but still refined enough as a daily to keep the wife happy.

I guess I’ll find out in a couple of months’ time - or whenever Porsche decide to build the damn thing, I should have had it by now!

GT4RS looks totally mad - let’s face it, it’s going to be nothing but utterly brilliant.

If you like your cars modern, efficient and a bit dull then it certainly will be smile

What about people who don't like cars at all? What on earth will you do?

It’ll certainly be modern. I won’t be driving it efficiently and don’t expect it to be very dull. It’s a mid engined sports car with 400bhp, three pedals and a stick.

It’s not a GT4, but will have cooled leather seats and a nice daily road ride to help convince wifey. If it’s crap, which it won’t be, and all the reviews say it won’t be, I’ll be able to offload it for overs or get a gen1 GT4 for the same cash. biggrin

£12600 in interest! Are you sure that's right?

I'm in Sweden so these are converted to £ but at the time (October last year) I paid the equivalent of £67k for my GT4. I put £26k down, 50% final payment (so £33500) and I pay just over £300 a month. Total interest over the 3 year term will be around £3700. My interest rate is 2.95%.

I can't fathom how you get to £12600 interest on effectively a £4k loan. Maybe it works differently over there.

Looks like you can learn something from them...they probably could tell you which wheels of your car are driven as we know you struggle with that.

The interestt would be on the total price less the deposit - £41k in your case, as you’re also paying interest on the final payment you’ve not made yet.

The quoted £12k would be the payments over the course of the loan, not just the interest component.

You’re paying £26k up front, £33.5k at the end, so £7.5k in repayments, plus interest on the £41k of £3,300 (3% pa x3).

Completely pointless, most of us who love cars won’t be able to get one. The overs price will be ridiculous and even if you want to/can pay that you’d be mad to. It’s a joke the way they go about this.
