There's a bit of info and pics on the 5K barge thread, pages 398, 405.

I actually think there's a gap in the market for a proper 4 seater convertible, to replace the likes of the departed Vauxhall Cavalier soft top and Chrysler Sebring soft top.

I mentioned this to a mate recently and he said there wasn't a gap in the market, just a gap between my ears!

You want velour? I give you velour.

As immortalised in my children's favourite pixar short film.

Thank you for the info on Ito-san: I only ever saw the first 'Cars' film so hadn't realised a Century appeared later.

I found some velour and doilies...

It is wool not velour.

But from my trips in Toyota Centuries and Nissan Presidents in Tokyo it does seem a bit Alan Partridge "Japanese VW Phaeton" type of car. You get a lot of car for your money. But an old Mulsane or Phantom is still lovely

Reminds me of an old Soviet government style car, Gorbachev era.

My car is called Shimmy Chan, which is an affectionate variation on the more respectful Shimizu San, I started off with the latter, but after bonding we're now more comfortable with the former. (Shimizu after Akira Shimizu, Chief Designer).
Do you have a V12 century? please start a blog about her on gassing station: I would love to hear more about that car...this side of a merc W100, it would be my all-time favorite “daily-driver”!
I second this - tell us more! And please tell me that you have owned 20 other Centuries previously!

Looks like an old school American Lincoln Towncar.
