I am sure there was an original Swiss registered DB4GT Zagato in the same colour and LHD configuration of the feature car.

I just can’t get my head around the asking price. As blue chip classic car prices are falling, it might not be long until you can get an original one for this sort of money.

So where do they get the original period parts, such as the engine carbs, and brakes?
It seems a shame that they couldn't design a new straight six, with modern tolerances and tech, but keep the carbs. Similar for the brakes.

What happened is all the reams upon countless reams of ugly cars from any given era got forgotten!

hehe I saw the red one and thought yep that's the one, then the green , then the blue... actually buying one of these would be a nightmare; I'd be wracked with indecision and then no doubt massive buyers remorse!

LOL, thats very true, and it's the same with music - no-one remembers all the crap stuff from decades ago.

Now, for some reason I'm reminded to buy a few lottery tickets this week...

It's absolutely fantastic, but £6M..Really ?

No matter how rich I was I'd still like to get some value for money and whilst I'm all for a company making a profit I just can't see where the £6m in time materials and labour goes. It's not as if it's spent hours in a wind tunnel or millions of miles in testing over several continents in different climates etc

Let's just say of the £6m there's £1m of profit. Then let's be outlandish and say there's £1/2 million of materials. That leaves £4.5 million of labour.

Now if the 4,500 man hours is to believed (which I doubt it) means the labour rate is £1,000/ hour.

Lovely as it is "I'm out" :-)

Well said, sir. Enzo Ferrari himself once said, (something along the lines of) cars should be beautful above all else. I wonder what he'd make of today's function following form Ferrari's?

This Aston is stunning.

...but wait, there's more! If you call in the next 10 minutes you get a free DBS Superleggera Zagato thrown in! Just 6 easy monthly payments of 1 million quid. Or something.

I’m glad to see it appears to be on Dunlop L or M sections as well, which, while having bugger all grip, are a) period and b) great fun to drive on

There are other Zagato replicas based on original DB4s, including some that were sanctioned by the factory themselves, but none has been assembled with such obsessive attention to originality as the new car.
Erm...but the Sanction 2 and 3s were actually bodied by Zagato, like the originals, whereas this isn't. I'd say that's a fairly significant point of originality.

Very nice. Is the continuation a genuine Zagato? As in, Made in Italy?

It is not, unlike the Sanction cars of the 1990s. In fact, if they're using the same methods as on the DB4 GT continuations a couple of years ago then they're using pressed panels which are then just hand finished, rather than fully handmade panels.

And at least the Sanction 2 cars can be driven on the road.
