Maybe this is just a cunning bit of marketing by Aston Martin. Instead of copying other manufacturers and making their super premium, unobtanium models totally awesome, they instead make them hideous, thus avoiding the need for us normal folk to wail and gnash teeth at being unable to own them, and instead just have a really good laugh at the poor suckers who buy them, safe in the knowledge that the more ordinary models are so much nicer? Or maybe not.

"Vulgar" is the perfect adjective for this car. Unfortunately, the rest of their "normal" range (as opposed to the forthcoming super & hypercars) seems to be heading the same way - overwrought, look-at-me, aggressive styling on the outside, and busy, over-styled interiors.

Retrim the interior so you don't want to gouge your eyes out when you sit in the car, and my issue with the car would be non-existent. Really love the exterior design, I think all of the elements they've been using on the Vanquish Zagatos just look so much more coherent here.

Not that what I think really matters to AML, I'll be lucky to just see one of these.
