Really love the story behind the 530 MLE and in particular No: 100 as documented by BMW SA.

I have just bought number 023/110 530 MLE, it wont be in the UK for some time with lockdown etc but i'm pretty sure it will be the only one!

Happy to say the 530 MLE has landed in the UK. Chassis #23 of 108/110 produced in 1976.

Haven’t had the chance to drive it “properly” just yet, collected it from London Gateway on Friday and waiting on NOVA/DVLA to get it registered.

What I can confirm though, it’s an awesome car and spent most of Friday afternoon/evening staring at it. Doesn’t need much, interior is a time warp & exterior is 95% with a beautiful patina.











Couple of bushes need changing and a through detail with fitment of an original 530 MLE M sticker kit and it’s good to go! 👍

Might I ask if you get a chance that you could do a Readers Cars thread and keep us updated on the car? I suspect I won’t be the only one interested in how you get on with this

Sure, no problem. i have two BMW projects going at the same time so i might aswell update both at the same time!
