If the Monaro doesn't count as a Vauxhall since its really a Holden, a Mk2 Astra GTE 16v.

The Lotus Carlton doesn't count because it's an Opel and one that had been fiddled with

I've never been into Vaxhalls as such but there are plenty of models I respect. I always thought the original Astra VXR was pretty cool and the current GTC is a good looking car.

I hired a car for a trip at the end of the summer and was given an Insignia SRI. Apart from the weedy 1.4 turbo engine the car was very very good. Comfortable, quiet, spacious and well spec'd. It didn't make me want to replace my current car but I can absolutely see why someone would buy one.
