C43 AMG for under £6k as well... https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1166292

So right as a shape. But so financially devastating by all accounts!

Gorgeous interior. Crying out for a wood set.

Phwoar! How much is a roof though? And presumably needs a compressor rather than a re-gas?!

There are a couple of super scruffy 220's at £6k, the extra litre has got to make this worthwhile!

Wood deficiency would make anyone cry.

Both irrelevant if you only drive with the roof down on sunny days!

Doesn't count for the thread as it's so expensive, but look at the interior of this W123: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1984-Mercedes-Benz-W123... PHOOOOR

You may have forgotten, but don’t you own a car with that upholstery???

I do like the green 540i, too.

C320 estate at thread min with minor rear arch bubbling and a seller honest enough to photo them, seems good vfm with 80k on.

Well, I didn't get a message back from the Lexus dealer today. I will see if I hear back tomorrow. If I don't hear anything I may give him a call Tuesday late afternoon or Wednesday morning and chase him up. I know I can afford it even before pay day....but before pay day would mean dipping into my "holiday" account which I've paid the deposit for....but then once I get paid I would then be able to top it back up.

I like that a lot, but the silver trim doesn't suit the cream interior in my opinion.

I’m tempted to say yes, BMW trims became “M” sport rather than simply sport, from the 2001 E38 onwards (don’t quote me biggrin) Saying that, they could easily be a far east special. I’ve seen some individual specced cars saying BMW INDIVIDUAL on them but mine is and simply says BMW.. In short I’d say no hehe

Yes I added this to my watch list earlier this week - can anyone advise costs for front jacking points, per MOT history check? (Sorry)

That car only makes sense if you follow the managed decline philosophy in my view. Making it nice won't be cheap so you either let heart rule head and throw money at it, or follow normal bangernomics principles, and it might be too good to neglect in that way. Probably better to buy a good one in a more attractive colour.

All that said, they are very appealing cars and once the roof and aircon is fixed they are reasonably straightforward to home-spanner. I rather miss mine.

The 540i looks cracking. Presumably it's relatively easy to give it some wood?

C320 feels like its probably just cheap enough? Possibly a nice second car for LexusRoss, so he doesn't mucky up his new car....

This 2010 E350 diesel has dropped from almost £9k to £6.1k now. It it had £150'taken off it since yesterday.

I have emailed the owner, apparently only done 10k miles since all disks and pads done, alloys need a tidy up.

I expect the poverty spec isn't helping but I reckon it's almost in Thread budget territory.

Crikey, that's a lot of car for the money.

I didn't want diesel until everyone started hating them. Now they're worthless and spending less money on fuel and less time in petrol stations is definitely welcome.

Edit: ULEZ friendly too!

Couldn't believe that was ULZ-friendly, but it does indeed state so on the TfL ULEZ check site. Don't understand how a 9-year-old diesel slips through the net - maybe that one had a private-hire exemption or something?

My sister lives in the inner ULEZ and needs a big bargey estate to replace her V70 D5 - with a £10K budget I'd told her she'd be restricted to petrols, as Euro 6 ULEZ-exempt diesels were all too new.

Definitely something fishy going on there, as noted it's not even close to EU6 compliant.

It checks out as okay on TFL's ULEZ Check website...
