This 2010 E350 diesel has dropped from almost £9k to £6.1k now. It it had £150'taken off it since yesterday.

I have emailed the owner, apparently only done 10k miles since all disks and pads done, alloys need a tidy up.

I expect the poverty spec isn't helping but I reckon it's almost in Thread budget territory.

Crikey, that's a lot of car for the money.

I didn't want diesel until everyone started hating them. Now they're worthless and spending less money on fuel and less time in petrol stations is definitely welcome.

Edit: ULEZ friendly too!
Couldn't believe that was ULZ-friendly, but it does indeed state so on the TfL ULEZ check site. Don't understand how a 9-year-old diesel slips through the net - maybe that one had a private-hire exemption or something?

My sister lives in the inner ULEZ and needs a big bargey estate to replace her V70 D5 - with a £10K budget I'd told her she'd be restricted to petrols, as Euro 6 ULEZ-exempt diesels were all too new.
Definitely something fishy going on there, as noted it's not even close to EU6 compliant.
Oh. I checked since I seem to remember 212 diesels offered good value for ULEZ friendly diesels when a friend was looking, but those were newer 4 pot cars. Guess it'd be a risk to hope that it doesn't update when changing keepers, but it's good value regardless.

It is stonkingly good value that E350 cdi. Looks like they're a pretty nice place to be inside too.

Wonder if I'll hear from the LS460 dealer today!? I hope so. I think I've basically committed myself to buying it on the proviso that the mirror is sorted along with an advisory-free MOT smile

Now..... New username? LS460Ross, 4.6V8Ross or something else? hehescratchchin

A good honest ad for what could be a cheap 300 se https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mercedes-Benz-300-SE-19...

Good spot 0a. That looks very honest and rather appealing. Nothing too scary there, even for a biff like me.

If I had access to alcohol out here I'm not sure I could trust myself not to bid.
Agreed. A decent list of minor issues that you could be getting on with. 4 new Michelins. That would be a good one to call up and quickly suss out whether the Dad's car story is genuine or not. I like the colour combination as well...
£1,750... seems an awful lot of car for the money - anyone on here?

What an incredible bargain, are ones that need a bit of tinkering normally so cheap?

It's the lower capacity, so perhaps less attractive. If I had purchased it, I would probably let it die gracefully - a death of pattern parts.

I'm not sure the market is that strong for them really. We saddos love 'em, but the general appeal is limited; not sporty, not cool, not really iconic, and not something that most of us grew up admiring and hankering after. That seems an excellent deal to me but I bet it isn't atypical.

Keep your original name, then in fifty years time people will ask “Why E65Ross?”, and you will be able to ramble on for hours about it. cool

Pinched from the L100NNY thread. Some nice lots coming up at MB World, though not much in thread range

Fixed: https://www.historics.co.uk/buying/auctions/2019-1...

Some interesting lots in there, and some very suspect descriptions.

e.g. "Modern F1 cars have twin turbos and 600hp" https://www.historics.co.uk/buying/auctions/2019-1...
