To which rules do you refer?
I thought the general PH rule is no links to your own car your selling? If there is no such rule for this thread, my car certainly fits the thread title: mid thread budget V12 BMW 760

Very smoothly done old fruit. Got any pictures of said motor for general interest purposes?
General interest pics:The back is the nicest place to be in these cars, I've only been a passenger a few times in the back (when I've had to much to drink) and those few times makes getting the long wheel base so worth it! Adjust the seat to full recline, heated seats on, blinds up, instruct driver to wake me when we arrive at the restaurant (which is actually beg SWAMBO to swing by Kebab van on the way home to complement my stomach full of ale!)
An engine bay shot....... well it is pistonheads and this is a V12
My big dilemma is replacing it, the newer 7 series 2010ish are not yet in thread budget and anything I buy will be slower & less refined, although i do like the look of the Lexus GS300 some one posted

A fairly loaded R500 at the link below, don't know if it will stay in budget but I suspect there's a decent chance that it could

That's with Sterling Cars, on the basis of just reading their ads/bullst. Not a fanhttps://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/56-MERCEDES-BENZ-R500L-...
EDIT: The bid history to date has been littered with a number of sub-3* rating bidders...

What's the reason for selling? Is it the smell of kebabs permanently toasted onto the heated rear seat and stuck in a crevice once straightened from a reclined position?
Been written off by insurance following a prang I think.https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

Ridiculous question incoming.... what sort of MPG do you get on the motorway?
Its not that bad if you sit at 70ish on cruise control (so good luck doing that on any uk motorway apart from 1am when its empty!) you can pick up mid 20s, normal driving around towns you wont get into the 20s!Krikkit said:

Damage wise for insurance job it would be head light bumper and wing. Real world fix would be buff out bumper scratches, chips away type paint repair on the corner of the wing and an ebay headlight / buff scratch out of corner of current headlight. Pic of damage yet to update correctly on autotrader, will try again tonight from my laptop rather than phone.
Kebab smell has gone so all you vegans out there will be fine driving it! Although you will be surrounded by a fair few cows worth of leather so maybe not the perfect car for you!

So tempted... although maybe not ideal for my 3 mile commute?
Why? Means that fuel consumption is hardly an issue...?deeen said:

It would warm up when driving to your nearest petrol station........(you would do this more regularly than you are used to!)

You're looking at it too sensibly. Some important factors when owning this car: 6L V12 Its ridiculously over the top for anyone's needs, (its has 2 phones in it 1 in the front and 1 in the back, why that is necessary is beyond me!) and that is a part of the appeal!

Too sensibly? This would be my sensible car, so my other one can semi-retire! Some good points however... never had over 400bhp before, never had double glazing...Side points: great for pub willy waving contests: 445 bhp, original owner was Lord Sainsbury so you still get free parking in all of his stores nationwide (not actually true).
