We followed one of these for a while yesterday and it sounded magnificent.

Due to health reasons I will be receiving my drivers license back after two years getting lifts everywhere. Being sick for two years certainly focuses the mind on living while you can,

So I mentioned to the wife that I would love anything with a V8 for a while before they become extinct. The response was not what I expected...and indeed rather encouraging scratchchin

Awesome news on getting your licence back, I can't imagine what I'd do in that situation. Definitely earned a V8 and this thread needs some CLS.

I was thinking a CLS55 (or W211 E55) would be more celebratory, I mean who doesn't want a supercharger in their driveway?

That E39 interior looks a very nice place to be on the grim day in which it was photographed. It possess a certain levity.

Usual E39 lack of heated seats though sadly.

Of course these aren't cheap to run, but looking at the MOT history it seems a few of these issues haven't been sorted.
Am i reading that right, front wheels slightly distorted, so they're not round anymore??!!

Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories):
Front Road wheel slightly distorted both (5.2.2 (c) (i))
nearside front fog lamp lens missing/damaged not affecting use
Front Lower Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement both torque strut bushes starting to perish (5.3.4 (a) (i))
center rear exhaust mounts corroded
Offside Rear brake pipe corroding
nearside front shock absorber bellow gaiter split not affecting use
various chips in windscreen

Why does Autotrader think that every big Lexus has a CVT? smile

Yeah I've never got this - were heated seats a gagillion pound option back in the day? My 530i has comfort seats and associated memory/column etc, xenons, sunroof, folding rear seats - yet no heated seats!

I do like the non-sport facelifted V8s, even if the 535 is the ginger stepchild of the range...

That is just such a lovely colour. LS430s are so colour dependant. But why have 96 photos of it?
And facelift dependent - the pre-FL cars are truly gopping IMHBCO

I’d be tempted to go with a higher miles example, they seem to wear them well.

plain silver, but good value - https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2...

BTW - where are the heated seat buttons on the 430? Not easy to see on this one

Centre console. On the left you see 2 small circular dials/knobs.

There have been quite a few adverts recently like this, assume that dealers now turn them into a flipbook if you put a deposit down on it.

I wouldn't really think that AT would want to dent their profits by trying to make sure the data is accurate, on the flip side alot of Japanese stuff has CVT's before switching over to more modern boxes. My Crown right up to the current Crown is available with a CVT. smile

Probably buckled. Can be straightened out if they're not too bad.

I probably shouldn't admit it, but I find this rather appealing.

Excellent spot. Can’t believe there’s no full side on LWB photo.

BMW in general seem to have an issue with seat equipment. My e39 528se has manual, non heated seats. My old 91 w124 had the electric drivers seat, my 88 w124 300 had heated seats. My current w124 has the lot - heated memory seats with orthopaedic driver’s seat (well specified I guess).

Two colleagues have new BMWs adorned with the whole M sport nonsense and loads of gadgets and screens - both manual cold seats. Really surprising that they are still so poorly equipped.
