I've just got a multi-car with Admiral, 3.0 SLK, Alfa 166 and AM V8V, all fully comp, 1.2k.

Not bad considering 31 and 25. Far, far cheaper than anyone else, most wanted circa 600 for the SLK alone, have used Admiral in the past and when someone else hit my car and they were excellent.

We got 3 cars through Privilege, R129, Outlander and Cupra R. 1K, comprehensive all.

Someone got a fairly nice Christmas bargain then. I prefer the look of this model over anything they did since. Got it just right IMO. Hope the sale is hassle free.
Unfortunately not...

The seller emailed me saying "didn't mean to buy it, cancel the bid".

I just want to sell it!
eBay auctions just seem to have this endlessly. Some people really are tts.

Looks like it could go cheap and I think far preferable to the grey one.
background of that photo: empty runway, Army truck in a ditch.

"bet that's in Lyneham"

Item location: Lyneham.

Nice car too, ideal for wafting between the officer's mess and the workshops which are bloomin' miles away.

Ha!

Not an officer, but thanks for the promotion wink

I used it to drive between Plymouth and Leicester, and now Lyneham and Leicester, but a move in the next few months again, ideally I'd just like an estate.

As I said, I bought it for wafting backwards and forwards on motorways, and for that, it's brilliant.

If it's not the "what's your best price mate" bros, it's the tosser who wins and then emails something like "sorry mate, I bought another car already, I didn't think I'd actually win, can you cancel my bid"

Infuriating, and it's costing me money to relist each time. Argh!

Pay 20 quid for a 28 day classified listing.

Ignore idiots, answer sensible ones.

That’s been the best way for me.

Big Cat & Big Bird.

Even on a normal snap like that the bodywork just looks so special.

With the best will in the world I can’t say I think it’s a handsome thing, but it just reeks of quality and engineering integrity.
Looks more like pussy cat and golden eagle.

I thought the correct response to being mistaken for a rupert was "officer? OFFICER?! I'M NOT A BLEEDIN' OFFICER I ACTUALLY WORK FOR A LIVING" etc.

And as it happens I have also spent time at Lyneham (also not as an officer), and now live near Leicester. Small(ish) world. I've never had a Lexus though.

I think you can report non-paying buyers and get a free relist

that Daimler is lovely but the LWB ruins the body shape for me, the proportions are off with the passenger compartment and rear doors extended like that.

Agreed. Space is tight in the SWB but you'd suffer it because it looks so much better. SWB Double Six and XJ12s are rare but do exist.

Walnut picnic tables seem so essential, a bit like the fabled rear blind, but I just know I'd never use them and the only time they'd ever be unfolded would be for the sales photos when I offloaded it to another fool who falls for the charms of the pointless things.

Picnic tables, perhaps, rear blind...I have found a use for.

Driving along the other day I had someone driving very close to the back of me. Got to some traffic lights, I glimpsed in the rear view mirror to find the driver of the car to be also looking at me. I put the rear blind up hehe I did feel smug, and a little bit of a tt, but I thought it was quite funny.

What were the list prices on those jags back in the 1990's? I remember my friends dad had a Rover 827 Sterling with rear electric seats, grey leather. As my dads sierra didnt even have front electric windows, rear electric seats for a 9 year old boy was heaven! I think these were £27k back in late 90's. Im just wondering what those Jag's were as back then there were no PCP's etc.
