I'm having no problem with parts, if I have the part number I can go to UK Toyota dealer, new & used parts can be found online easily enough from Amayama/Nengun/Yahoo Japan etc. I bought two used wing mirrors from a 2013 car for £80, I don't need them, but may do if one gets clouted. I've bought lots of little bits and bobs that were missing, a vent cover in a foot well, grab handle screw cap cover, that sort of thing. Just going through the parts I need for a full service at the moment. After my Turbo R, it's as cheap as chips.
I can get most parts in UK as far as suspension etc goes.

Body panels and glass are very hard.

My windscreen has a chip now in the "a" zone it was "fixed" with resin and won't spread but I don't know what an MOT tester will say.

Insurance can't find/source the screen, autoglass the same, Toyota Japan doesn't make them anymore etc etc.. basically write the car of or somehow get a wide screen imported from Japan for ££££

As it happens, I grabbed a couple of 15-holes when they came up locally, for exactly the same purpose, and have the other knocking around. It'd be worth checking that it's sufficiently round (the one I chose to put the tyre on needed extra weights) but it's yours if you want it. I think I'm nearish to you, as your car has been to Star. It's not in pristine condition but no significant issues that I'm aware of. Happy to pass it along to a fellow threadist.

Pilkington offer a 'bespoke' glass service. Not sure if they could help or at what price however.

Panels and glass seem plentiful used for the Century, for the time being anyway. Cost of shipment and arriving undamaged is a different matter. JDM cars don't seem to come under the 10 year rule? whereby all parts are to be made available by the manufacturer. Century was only discontinued in 2016 but it's surprising how much is not available new from Toyota, no stock and no longer being made.

Bolide - to add, the worst may just require lubrication. Id be inclined to apply a liberal amount of WD40 / silicone spray into the mechanism. They fill with crud and the bushes like to partially seize or stiffen.

You never know, could be an inexpensive resurrection!
I purchased some Bilt Hamber Ferrosol recently, so it may be worth a squirt, if I can figure out how to get to the mechanism.
Totally random but I ALWAYS make sure I have a can of this stuff. It's really good stuff in my opinion.

They are definitely a more colourful vendor!

For pics, I can't usually be bothered as it's screenshot, crop, use the uploader.

In this case I can though as I'm assuming it's data error- the ML420 diesel doesn't meet the London standards, however apparently in the bigger GL, it's OK...

Nice.

I particularly enjoyed the 'Ere, John, duck yer-ead!' in the profile shots.

You can't coach that sort of thing. You've either got it or you haven't.

The ls600 is back on Ebay again. Either the winning bidder ducked out or something was up with it.

Lols! And the best one is of a badge he hasn't cleaned! Although nice he seems to use an actual camera. Or is he scuba diving?

Aside from being convinced there's not a cat in hell's chance it is ULEZ compliant, I hadn't realised what a povvo spec it was, apols but I'm completely out when the majority of buttons are blanks...

Unfortunately I have not heard back from the seller of the LS400 from Chichester. Did one of you buy it?

It's a shame as I really like it, but I am now pretty sure that I want a LS400 with black leather.

In other news, I found this demonstrating how the E-class design has generally declined through each generation, though bizarrely, having always wanted a W210, I now think the W211 is the only time the styling improved from the previous generation.

This skips the 212 facelift which probably hit another sweet spot.

I wouldn't say it declines every time. The 213 is better than the 212 hehe

I also agree the W211 was an improvement in looks at least over the W210 but maybe it's interior was superior? The W213 is great too but too similar to the C class I find them difficult to distinguish unless I see the E's two headlight stripes.
Have you seen the spy shots of the facelift? The tail lights are very Lexus like I think. I saw a couple of E coupes and convertibles today which looked great.
Anyway not long back from road trip today, didn't go as far as Mayo, just as far as Enniskillen and the Fermanagh Lakelands. Mix of M, A and Z grade roads and tracks.

Thank you kindly to both Stegel and Northbrook - this really is the best corner of PH.

My wheels are in this style:

so Northbrook, I'm not sure your wheels are the same design, but thank you for the offer all the same.

Stegel, I've pinged you over an email using the forum link, incase it ends up in your spam folder.

If anyone in the Swindon area sees me knocking about, I'm more noticeable now thanks to the PH sticker on the boot again.

Toby - received and replied. Now you’ve posted the photo of your wheel I realise your car is on 210 wheels! You’re still welcome to it - I think you’re going to use it as a spare - but it is slightly different, with an absence of dish.

LS460 at thread max with 126k. They are out there. There's a cheaper one in Glasgow, but 173k is a bit rich for me.

Noooooo! (IMHO)

Halfway through the life of W212 they completely changed the way their cars were drawn and the facelift was an awful push me pull you of old and new.

Either styling language is ‘ok’. ( I know we don’t like that term in here, but it is ‘a thing’)

But the combination was a disaster. The organic animal snouty softness of the facelift grille and bumper with the sharpness and tensioned-fabric-over-frame of the profile style lines. Uck.

I have the estate versions in mind when I refer to the styling. The rear end of the 212 in both guises is fantastic, as is the 211 and the 210 albeit when sat on monoblocks with an E430 badge on the boot lid (though an E320 in the photo below).
