Looking at that picture I rather dislike the contrasting piping. Not good.

It's a lovely colour combo indeed, actually. The best that I have seen and it manages to make this munter half appealing (still a three pinter, at least).

The 40k gap is what caught my eye, too.
Have you a link to this please

Creamy gold with 400bhp. I rather like it
I rather like it, too.

Can't help smile at the imagined mischief from the Gerald who placed the original order.
"Yes, full Werther's spec please. I want it to match all the clothes I bought from 'World of Beige.' Jean only needs running to the bingo on a Tuesday. Line dancing on Thursday. No, I don't really go anywhere. Of course I want the XJR!"

No heated seats, so ah'm oot. Not that I was in. But if I was in? I'd be out.

Otherwise, I flippin' love it.

Slightly over budget, but I am sure it will find appreciation here: https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1205450

Whilst that is nice.... The market for a £90k car like that must be miniscule!?
90 grand and he has saggy nets.

I realise C&C is much-loved, but were I to be selling a car at that price point I'm not sure I'd be relying on a free site.
£90k & 95k miles.

You’d be sectioned.

Agreed. And that Q3T badge is pretty terrible too.

Of course if it was £2ok I'd be saying it was the best thing ever.

I'm sure these are super rare and valuable but I'd struggle to justify that at £9k, let alone £90k.
Plus this crock of ste
"In 1990 this car was purchased from David Joliffe MD of Portman Lamborghini sole UK concessionaires of 108 George Street London W1H 5RL.The previous year 1989 Mr Joliffe had struck a deal with Brabus Autosport to become the sole UK concessionaire and formed Portman Brabus operating at the same address supplying Brabus cars to UK customers."

You lost me at "concessionaire".

I like the Land Cruiser. Seems good value to me.

In other news the C216 posted earlier has sold. Anyone from here?
I tried, and got in the queue but the first person to view paid the full asking price and it went on Friday afternoon. Was sorry to hear of the vendor's son. In other news, have steered him towards this thread and expect him to be a new lurker / eventual poster...

But, to counter being correct, excessively florid and overcomplex descriptions = red flag. Suitable for the kind of 4* classics purveyors concessionaires of overpriced wk.

It's quite a nice word though.

In other news, plans are afoot for a forecourt shot. Details to follow....(it will be a few days yet). I know, such a tease.

Pretty much that.

There's lots of detail about the dealers name, even their postcode and other crap. But precious little detail about the actual car.

I could have a proper rant about that "florid bks" but it's possibly just a Monday morning thing.

Aha, fair enough! I quite like the word but the ad is quite pretentious so I see your point now.

Nothing wrong with the word, I think this should start with this kind of brief intro for the history, and then some actual detail about the bloody car.

It did look cheap. Which is an incredible statement for a well worn 20 year old truck with puddles in the footwells, a huge V8 that does 13mpg, a probable forthcoming ban from all major cities, and will make you look like a fairgroundsman.

But I really fancied it and, in all honesty, would have considered punting my LS460 on to buy it. Which probably tells you all you need to know.

How can you be concessionaire for an address? And I'm pretty sure there's only been one 1989.

I have an indecent amount of love for this - where are the sixth and seventh seats? Removed to show boot space?
They can fold up and to the sides, or can be removed:

Check for rust! Land Cruisers are very tough mechanically, but can corrode.

Wait a minute, RicksAlfas only posted this yesterday with a suggestion of a 'threadistes' discount!
