No, the little minx teased and then fked off.
Disgraceful.

I also thought this Vel Satis with the creamy 3.5 would be within thread by now...? Or was that just the time required to go see it that was lacking?

There are some fantastic photos on this ad. It seems as though the seller is quite besotted with the quirky little French number.
Never noticed those rather odd front seats before. Nice photos but two minutes with a duster wouldn’t have gone amiss.
The seats are classic 2000 style of Renault designers trying reinvent the wheel, having sat in a Vel Satis many moons ago they are nowhere near as comfortable as you would imagine.

I think as a car the Vel Satis hasn't aged too badly, just a shame they were a Renault and let down by dodgy electrics, iffy build quality, horrendous MPG and the engine is a bork and a half waiting to happen.

The dealer that featured in Rogue Traders reincarnated?
The ad says Hull seems expensive at top budget for a 95

One of the "Maison" accounts has posted a new car. I was going to say he's missing his touch as only 8 bids and £511 with 3 1/2 days to go. But then saw his usual "more details will follow" and breathed easy again.

As always it looks good. Personally I think you should be able to fill a V70 with stuff for the tip and/or children and so that interior wouldn't work for me.

Nice to see our own r129sl getting a namecheck in the W124 article that's just gone up.

I'd rather have a light interior and have to put a sheet down before the tip runs, looks nice that.

That v70 has a fair bit on the MOT advisories. I do like a Volvo estate, something about them and that one looks very clean.

If one were to search for a Alfa Romeo 166 on Gumtree (apologies no eBay allowed in work / old photos due to weather) they might find a rather nice silver one in the Chester area that could have a nice thread discount applied.

Got to be a re-shell project I'd say, start with a nice 3.2 and stick the drivetrain and other bits in it. Or in a kit car of course.

I like the look of that, and the MOT advisories suggest that maybe four new tyres will be needed soon, and perhaps a pair of front arms (these cars eat front suspension arms anyway). Has anyone bought anything from this guy? The shill bididng is offputting but if the final price is something you're happy with and the car is as described then it can be overlooked.

I am sure someone from the thread bought a car from him and was happy with it.

Gliptone seems to be well recommended, easy and cheap enough to use (I'm terrible at cleaning cars and even I can manage)
Perfect!

Great colour on that W123 - was that an original colour on the car?

How can you tell it's shill? Not saying it isn't, just wondered how?

All the listings start at 99p and are mysteriously bid up by multiple accounts shortly after, even if there's no pictures or description.

Modern leather is actually sealed with a layer of lacquer/plastic so you can't actually feed or condition the hide at all. If you put conditioner on the leather it won't soak in but will sit on the surface and attract dirt; this is also what can make what was once nice matte leather look shiny. All you can do, as others have said, is clean dirt off the surface and on lighter leathers you can add a dye block product to stop blue from your jeans transferring to the seats. I think there is a lot of marketing bullst and totally unproven claims around leather cleaning, same as the rest of the car "detailing" world.

There is a chap who contributes here who is a leather restorer and has made a few posts about this
