Did AM get an ex-Masda and or Toyota designer in to do the headlights and front?

Aston, they used to be beautiful...

I did over 20k miles in my V12V roadster and I've done over 10k miles in my AMR V12VS roadster, the first obviously having the 6 speed manual and my current car having the dogleg 7 speed box

Most of the miles have been on European tours, including many Alpine passes, driving the car pretty hard so I'd like to think I'm just about as qualified as anyone to comment

There is no question the dogleg box needs much more time to get used to it and if you were going to do 1 or 2k miles per year in it, it may be difficult to ever get totally to grips with it

There's also no question it's that much more niche a product so will be marmite to an extent

But I love the box, I very rarely now miss a change and I love the interaction

The main thing is it totally suits the character of the car

I have my doubts it is as well suited to the new vantage, but as I've only driven that with the slushbox, I'm obviously reserving judgement

Hats off to Aston Martin - difficult to pull off but they've done it. Please buy one of these over the auto if you're considering a Vantage.

Manual, V8, mechanical LSD. We won't see many more like this if we don't get them bought...

Well, they're only intending to make 200 of the AMR manuals and 59 of those will be the Vantage 59 spec cars, so it isn't going to be the most prolific version of the car.
I guess if the manual sells in enough numbers then the "regular" Vantage will eventually be offered with three pedals.
