Yes it’s a 3.0 v6 out of an SType. The engine goes in the car with a kit made by Rocketeer. The engine is aluminium so the car weighs no more than when it had the cast iron1.6

All of the superior bits off an NB can easily be bolted straight onto an NA - my 1990 has Torsen diff, 6 speed, big brakes and hood with glass window all courtesy of a crusty mk2.5 sport!

Arguing that a later and highly developed version of the same car is inferior is just silly. Don’t be silly, the headlamps aren’t that great and they’re a pretty rubbish implementation too, with Porsche 914/924 lights being much, much better.
