It would have been funny as someone else mentioned if you had left it like that. laugh

Normally go for boring colours myself but that looks great even when dirty.
Unfortunately the bright colour isn’t enough for some people and it got rear ended in traffic this week....

You really have to wonder. Was the damage bad? Hope everyone was ok.

Thanks for your concern but luckily only low speed so only superficial paint damage which hopefully can be rectified quite easily. I'll take a proper look this week once I've given the bumper a clean.

I've discovered a new bonus of having a dirty car, it makes it really obvious when the bumpers been hit in a car park. Discovered this at the weekend when someone took the from nearside out, hopefully from the side of their car. It looks awful, huge scratches etc, until the dirt was cleaned off....
A couple of deep scratches down to the black plastic - someones got red paint on their car

Its from a sky tv show called Curfew. V12 manual. There is a thread running over on the reader's cars section.

Great to hear.

Hopefully not too bad and the car is fixed.

Must be the time of year. Had a cyclist go full speed into the back of me this afternoon. Thought it was a car the noise it made.

Thankfully he was ok but a nasty mark on the back of the car and a dent. Obviously not insured so it's an added expense in the near future.

The guy had no helmet, headphones and the brakes failed. I think the brakes were not working at all. Hopefully, the scare has engaged his brain.

This is the one thing I don't like about having a dirty car. Finding a dent when washing the car.

Can only imagine how many cars have been damaged today with the Christmas shopping craziness.

Hopefully whoever damaged your car will have to fix theirs as well.

i dont see even a mild fun factor of posting pics of how dirty your car looks. youd think on a car enthusiasts site everyone would be well into keeping theirs clean and certainly not wanting to share photos of it all mucked up. bizarre. you could at least jazz things up a bit with some juvenile writing in the dirt like you see on the back of vans.....

what next.....how many crumbs in your centre console ?
You drive a shed no?

Nothing cooler than a filthy car, preferably an exotic one.
This one is for you toothbrush man. You definitely clean your wheels with a toothbrush.

My pride and joy M135i. It's just pointless cleaning at the moment with the roads I drive on.

The idea of the brake dirt eating the wheels isn't one i enjoy though

In the next photo, I expect to also see a clean number plate. hehe

I thought it was an Audi trait to have a wiper pointing to "2 o'clock" that hasn't worked since the day after the warranty expired?

(Says the man who's E87 rear wiper stopped working, but at least I fixed it!)

Had that when I cleaned one of the cars on Monday.

Someone has scuffed the OSR arch both in front and behind the wheel.

Nice. Oh well.

My dark metallic grey Leon was well on the way to being worthy of a photo on this thread until it went into the dealer - they washed it!

Frustrating to say the least. Suppose even if you see it at the time proving it is nearly impossible.

I am sorry but I have caved, the car had reached the point where I didn't actually want to touch it anymore to get in, thankfully it had an electronic boot so you didn't have to get dirty fingers but I did dirty some clean jeans leaning against the bumper to reach into the boot.

As a bonus I have included a picture of my MX5 after an icy morning and salted track at Oulton Park back in February.

Has to power wash the wheels, the mud build up was causing an imbalance...

I was doing really well...

But then the car had clutch problems resulting in a garage visit, and they've washed it. Back to square one.
