My rental whilst working in Greece - muddy access lanes to site...

And some creativeness by a colleague...

This may not count given it is summer here and I didn't drive it anywhere, it was just sat on the drive overnight. The rain brought a load of outback dust and covered everything frown

The OH's looks worse:

One week's commute, 25 total miles per day.

Thanks to road works, and numerous building sites, plus a landfill site that allows lorries leaving it to turn a mile of road into a plowed field:

500 looking suitably dirty. Looks better when it's wet though. There is this irritating thing at work on the quarry that spays high pressure water at everything as you leave, for dust suppression, makes the car cleaner. That's no fun.

Sadly I was too embarrassed driving with “I’m dirty if you know what I mean” on the dirt, so it now looks like this.
What’s this place?
By my reckoning that’s the space station garage on the outskirts of the east of York

I am sorry but I have caved, the car had reached the point where I didn't actually want to touch it anymore to get in, thankfully it had an electronic boot so you didn't have to get dirty fingers but I did dirty some clean jeans leaning against the bumper to reach into the boot.

As a bonus I have included a picture of my MX5 after an icy morning and salted track at Oulton Park back in February.

Booo.

Sadly I gave in and cleaned it a day after taking that. Since cleaning it has developed a squeaking from the nearside front. Lesson: keep dirty.
Great effort, where had you been to get it that dirty?
Cue outrage for not using rear wiper laugh
I live in a Northamptonshire village and my route to work includes plenty of mud strewn roads regularly used by tractors. Takes less than a week to get it covered. I think the slab shape of the rear end also helps! Yes, use of the rear wiper spoils the full dirt effect laugh

Not in the spirit of the thread, but I have a rust free 2004 Subaru Legacy and I'd really like it to stay that way!

Wish I'd done a 50/50 now though!

Spot on. It was already filthy again after 3 days, but sadly I've washed it again tonight. Reason being It's getting repaired in the morning after hitting a pheasant just before Christmas. Once that's done I'm not washing it until it's MOT in March.

Some brilliant posts since I was last on.

Personally had not washed the car in 2 Months but finally gave in at the weekend.

Just kept raining so gave up.

Since the weekend it's dried up and things are taking shape. Hopefully a pic before 2021 laugh

WOW again. Was your other half entered into the Monte?

Looks great dirty. Great to see her back to 100% after the slight rear end.

Thanks, that’s about 4 weeks of dirt, we live down a single track road with grass down the middle and mainly used by horses and tractors. She also commutes 75 miles a day, so doesn’t take long to get like this.

That will make a difference. My daily is 80 miles a day but the roads up here in Scotland have been strangely clean. Normally a right mess with tractors.

I must say the colour is epic. I will always pick silver, white or black but on the RS3 that looks amazing.,

I presume washing it isn't so much fun for you biggrin

75miles a day in a RS3 is impressive. What sort of range do they have? I always thought it was something like 300miles?

This years thread seems to have more entries than normal. Are the roads dirtier?
