No sign of POA, does this trader really want a million pounds for this? Worlds gone mad
If the the £1M price is a genuine misprint then all is forgiven,,If its genuine then this guy is a fantasist of the highest order..!.

And this guy was able to get an allocation, and then flips is for an outrageous price. I hope Porsche take note an stop him getting anything tasty again. Yet, no doubt his dealer will still give him allocation as he buys a few cars from them.

They had one a couple of weeks ago, in silver, at my OPC in Tewkesbury with a big "Sold, Do Not Touch" sign on it. Absolutely fabulous thing in the flesh, the pictures do not do it justice. I've seen some pictures somewhere of silver owners car with the livery / stripes etc. on it - not to everyones tastes I'm sure - but wow, what a good looking car.

Somone seems to have swallowed the press release and can't seem to keep it from constantly reappearing.

These are great cars, a GT3 without a roof bounce what can go wrong!

But I do agree with 1 thing that seems to resonate with many comments here - it looks odd...

I think the oddness is in the fact that the A-pillar is matt black instead of being body colour smile

Sure, there is the history and the heritage part, and appreciate that the old cars did have a black a-pillar, but in my opinion, it simply doesn't work on this car.
The A-pillar is much smaller / thinner on the old cars and there is also a lot of black rubber trim bits similar thickness, that make it look ok on the old cars,
but there is little similarly matching bits on the new car, so the A-pillar looks simply odd.

Never mind the black stone guards on the old car, they look absolutely dreadful on the new car... Could it be that they were black because there was
no clear PPF back in the day?

Also, what is going on with the graphics on the heritage pack? They look censored

The only argument I can think of is that it looks kind of ok when the roof is up, but this is a SPEEDSTER!!! The roof should be ALWAYS DOWN!!

So here is a little cheat, I guess you could call it speedster A-pillar delete biggrin

After closer inspection it's clear that the A-pillar is wrapped in matt black vinyl vomit

How dare they censored

The wrap goes under the trim, so you need to take that off first. Pull the rubber seal down and it you will see 4 rivets and a screw on the top corner of the A-pillar

We didn't drill the bottom rivet because it's a very odd angle for a normal battery powered drill and you don't really need to get the trim completely off, as
it doesn't wrap under the bottom rivet.

Lovely paint underneath wink

Fast forward and the A-pillar is looking like it should!!!

We are still working on the car and will post more pics when it's ready.

Some would probably never agree with this, but we think some of the history should stay history wink

Saw one in the flesh today. Appropriately enough on the autobahn on the outskirts of Stuttgart. Looke very nice - had the hood up but I didn't think it looked £100k better than the 992 I was driving. Still who am I to rain on anyone's parade.

Looks much better without the black film on the A-pillars!

Also like the look of the E30 in the background...

Finished article woohoo

What do you think? We think it now looks amazing!

After the A-pillar the car was fully wrapped in Xpel PPF and everything coated in Max Protect coatings

I've gotta say its make a massive difference. I wasn't a huge fan of the A Pillar when I picked the car up. The factory wrap on the A pilliar is a cheap black plastic rather than paint. Had a chat with Janis over at max protect and he discoverd its removeable and got rid of it for me. Car looks much better now smile

I don’t care whether it looks better or worse now. But I’m so happy that you’re passionate enough to give that small detail your attention. It’s the mark of a proper enthusiast and for that, very well done and enjoy your lovely new car in the best health :-)

I happened to come up behind one of these yesterday in Kent.
I thought it was a kit car it was so ugly.

I'm sure it's very quick & all that, but it's no looker.

Photographed one last year, really liked it, very dependent on spec I suppose too.

It's just a headline grabber that's all.
Its worth no more than he paid for it. If it was worth more don't you think the OPC or their employees would get in on the act?

That looks miles better with the A-pillar unwrapped, especially in a colour like red beer

To be honest, for the price of a Speedster (seemingly anywhere from £210k RRP to £300k+ 'flipped'), I'd be more tempted by a Touring at ~£170k plus a 781 Spyder at ~£70k..

But, people spend their money as they wish and I'm sure many will love their Speedsters, I think it's a great looking car in the right spec (I actually really like the Heritage pack tbh)
