RE: Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster | Driven

No excuse for not having a double clutch on a car like this imo.
The argument that it forces you to change gear at the right time doesn’t really add up when you’re talking about a car that will do the NSL in 2nd gear, and could just as easily be applied to lacking power steering or some other retrograde “innovation”.
Imo of course.

I agree the ultimate poster car.
The fact that you have to manually remove & replace the roof panels is however unforgivable & it would be a deal break for me who has no interest in ANY car unless it can be driven al-fresco style.
Mind you I'd buy it just to annoy the sanctimonious holier-than-thou noisy mouthy green vegan climate change whining losers.
the only loser is someone who's so triggered by people with different opinions that they'd make a purchase purely to annoyThe fact that you have to manually remove & replace the roof panels is however unforgivable & it would be a deal break for me who has no interest in ANY car unless it can be driven al-fresco style.

These are totally and utterly bonkers, let’s hope that today’s teenagers are still putting car posters on their walls!
I’ve only ever been in the ‘standard’ one (that’s still seven feet wide and looks and sounds like something from outer space!) but they’re an exercise in utterly destroying your senses with the engine noise, the acceleration, the cornering and a gearbox that really isn’t happy unless you’re driving like it’s stolen!
God bless Lamborghini that these exist, and may they continue to exist for years to come. Awesome car.

Can I take the sensible mid-way compromise option?https://www.instagram.com/p/B4nMoETl3d9/

Ribblehead Viaduct. I've been there a few times, great spot for a bit of wild weather photography but the only living things on show on days like that tend to be some rather dispirited looking sheep!
Great shots and a beautiful car, I struggle to use the full performance of my Cooper S on those roads so I can't imagine what it would be like trying to tame that beast!

Does anyone know if the engine is genuinely slightly offset or if it is just a trick on the eye in the photo?
Well, i wish you had not pointed that out. I have never noticed it before, now it will be the first thing i see. I am interested to know the reasoning behind it aswell though?

The engineers purposely offset the V-12 slightly to the left to counter balance the weight of the driveshaft.I am interested to know the reasoning behind it aswell though?
