Whats the most annoying thing about your car?
Discussion
That it's laid out for a shortarse. With the seat right back I'm ~3-4" too close to the pedals so I'm mostly using the arches, not the balls, of my feet. It also puts first right at the end of my reach and I still occasionally miss the handbrake or get it with just my little and ring fingers.
OP, aren't you the one who upsets your neighbours by parking your work van outside their house so you can free up your drive for the Mustang?
Maybe they are syphoning off your fuel by the same amount every week in lieu of this.
Or maybe you are still charging your phone by leaving it in the car with the engine running?

2019 Porsche Macan S
Proximity sensors & surround camera staying on when it’s bleeding obvious the car is stationary & isn’t about to hit anything
I find the Macan's sensors really over sensitive, too. Proximity sensors & surround camera staying on when it’s bleeding obvious the car is stationary & isn’t about to hit anything
As soon as the car is a bit dirty, the sensors start to protest, and the rear camera becomes useless.

Mini R55 - sunroof ('nuf said - I do like the extra light it lets though in so not all bad)
Mini R55 - no temperature gauge (seriously WTF!!! No old pressure, no oil temperature, no water temperature. fking idiotic design!)
I spent yesterday in a new (1000 miles on the clock) R56 and it had a few annoyances which really stood out in an otherwise great car:Mini R55 - no temperature gauge (seriously WTF!!! No old pressure, no oil temperature, no water temperature. fking idiotic design!)
- The basic steering wheel is impossible to wrap your fingers round at quarter to three. For many drivers, me included, holding a wheel across a diameter (rather than a chord at other positions) is inextricably linked to how they place and control the car. I had to either give the wheel a loose hold in my palms, or choose ten to two like a learner. OK in town, but once up to pace my ability to drive the car felt severely compromised. The wheel was also the only item in the cockpit to be made of nasty hard plastic - why have the entire dash top in lovely soft feel material, but the steering wheel feeling like an airfix kit?
- The window controls on the door and iDrive controls were both too close to me to operate, requiring me to stick my elbow up and operate them with my forearm and/or hand vertically, rather than just be naturally resting my hand on them, as in other BMWs. This has long been the case in MINIs, and I do sit a long way back in the car due to my long legs - what it's like if you have normal length legs I don't know!
- There's a blue light that illuminates the door handle, but at night it shines two annoying fuzzy blue dots up onto the A pillar. Surely they tested the car at night?!
- It was a small petrol engine, but had gearing longer than most diesels. 2nd gear took me to 75mph! 3rd gear at 30mph was barely ticking over.

Fuel tank also for me on the M140i. It’s supposed to hold 52 L but in reality even running it down to 0 range on the trip computer, I’ve never managed to get more than 48 litres in. That’s just not enough for a 3 litre petrol engine.
To get much more than 300 miles out of it you have to be driving Miss Daisy. Enjoying yourself, you can struggle to see 200.

Arm rest. They're just not high enough, I feel like I'm leaning quite a lot over to the left to lean on it. It's not just my car, it's loads of arm rests in loads of cars.
How high is your seat? Do you have it cranked up to the roof?Limpet said:

Almost the same on MrsTheWifes E-Pace. Spend far too much time putting fuel in itTo get much more than 300 miles out of it you have to be driving Miss Daisy. Enjoying yourself, you can struggle to see 200.

Having ran an m135i for 3 1/2 years I'd say this was the biggest annoyance with the car. I don't do many miles (around 7k per year) but if you did much more than that you would never be away from your petrol station. Been running my M235i 18 months and although I agree, 45L tank is on the small side, I find myself filling up once every 5/6 days on average and I'm doing 16k a year, not that bad...im afraid it going to die very soon. its leakign coolant like no mans business, but cant really afford to get it checked out atm. checkup is £50, so its repairs on top of that :./
also cant afford a new car. need it to last another year at least before i can consider something like that fingers crossed its something simple to sort out!

I hate the auto-dipping mirrors on mine, just makes it look dark behind you so you can't really see what's there. I'm quite capable of dipping my own mirror ta.

Not too bad although I used to fill mine up 2 or 3 times per month and I found that a chew. Just got my 540i and the mpg is not that much better, the bigger fuel tank means I'm longer between fill ups. Seat Leon with the digital dash, lots of different views, status "lights" for cruise, lane assist etc and other info but something as simple as a head light icon is totally missing. Would be nice if there was something on the dash to indicate if they are on or not, the auto lights are pretty good but seems an odd thing to miss out, even more so when the instruments are digital.
