I dislike how little grip I have from the front tyres in my MINI Cooper S, it spins up far too easily in anything but bone dry conditions. Fun I guess, but really annoying when you've been used to RWD/4WD.

Dashboard rattle - Every car I've ever had has had rattles. The M5 though, has one. Everything else is well bolted together so this one is bugging me.
Took it in today to get sorted and the bugger was utterly silent. Typical.

B9 S4, has a "hard band" of plastic around what I would describe as the seat bolster, so if you don't have a passenger the seat belt clip rattles off it, so you move the seat forward or back, leaning over always gives me some weird cramp, and its always at lights I ntice.

Then another passenger gets and puts its right back.

1st world problem I know but eye itchingly annoying

Little things..
10 year old tech in a 2016 car. Not being able to change track using the steering wheel buttons, instead having top press an annoyingly placed button on the centre console.
No touch screen, a wheel instead in the centre console.

Some anti rattle tape to cover the plastic band will make it nice and quiet.

Mine, 2017 Mustang GT, I only live 3 miles from work, yet I find myself having to fill up with fuel once a week.

Why......... Because some moron thought a 61L fuel tank was sufficient, it seems to manage about 220 Miles to a full tank.

So annoying, as I hate filling up with fuel, im sure they could have got a 100L tank in it?
What MPG are you averaging? Only had mine for 1 month and 1,400 miles, 30-mile round trip commute and I am averaging 27mpg - and I do put my foot down quite often, though I do agree that 61L is a little small.
I find that the rear suspension is very bouncy. I do wish it was a bit softer.
Oh, and also the lazy RHD conversation. Having a cup in the cupholder blocks the gear stick!

When I read posts like this I do wonder why I run a V6 engine when it is only returning 22mpg...when I could have a V8 with a much bigger capacity that is better on fuel! cool

The 370Z suffers from the lazy RHD conversion as well, and you can't change gear if you put a cup in the holder. I have to put the cup in the small door bin instead.

The nannying "change gear now" symbol on the dashboard of my Octavia.
Same on our 2017 MINI convertible, what makes it worse is that it's gearing is so long, 70mph in 3rd is no problem & reasonably responsive, but the change symbol wants it to be in 6th.

As a contrast when its driven by the wife she'll be doing 25mph in 6th. The change gear symbol says nothing, but the engine is clearly begging for a lower gear.

Isn't the Nissan 370Z the export name for the JDM (hence RHD) Fairlady? Could just be sloppy implementation of a manual.

It's crazy how economical big engines can be these days. Back when I owned an RX-8 getting 18mpg, I never would have expected that one day I'd have a 5.0 V8 with nearly double the power, almost thrice the torque and yet 50% better fuel economy and a third of the VED!

Get into a V8 while you still can!

yes There are far more factors at play than engine size. My last three track cars prove that. All three were driven identically, i.e. flat out, and the most economical has a 3.5L V8 and weighs 960kg, the next up, albeit close, had a 2.0L n/a 4 and weighed 490kg, and the least economical by an enormous margin had a 2.0L s/c 4 cyl and weighed 670kg. Of course, if all other factors are identical, for example comparing a 330d with a 320d, then smaller is better, but like with the lack of correlation between car performance and engine size, there are so many other variables at play if the cars are different.

In LHD guise it is fine, the handbrake is close to you and the centre arm rest is positioned perfectly. Also the cup holder is placed out of the way so you can change gear without issue. Whereas in RHD form for some reason the handbrake is quite far away and your arm doesn't rest on the soft bit, and the cup holder is in the way of the gearchange.

It is sloppy really, and I only noticed how much better it is from a LHD point of view from watching American YT vids on the car.

Audi TT Mk3

Frameless doors freezing shut. Gummi Pledge doesn't work as its due a poor seal design inside the door. Audi's solution is to cut the seals back, no thanks.

Water pouring off the roof and landing on the seat or your lap if you open the door when its raining hard. Same for the boot too.

Otherwise its been great!

Volvo S90- controls for the fan, heated seats etc. are all part of the touch screen system. I don't care what anyone says but physical buttons will always be far more convenient.
Precisely. I'm in a Pug but it's the same in any modern car with integrated controls. I think it's unsafe to have to take your eyes off the road and perform several 'tasks' to do simple stuff like choose another radio channel or change the temp. However, these are 1st world problems. I'd much rather have half a dozen presets for the most used channels, that you can hit with one touch or even find by feel without taking your eyes off the road.

I also thought like you. I do wanted one. I can’t afford one but the wife went and gout one a while back. I’m glad she did because having now lived with one for a while there is no way I would buy one. Poor implementation to RHD, soft suspension, steering is vague in the most assisted mode and too heavy in the least assisted mode, too shouty (look at me) for my taste. Standard fitment tyres should be banded from all roads for any car.

What an engine though and what a noise.

is that the Avant or Saloon?
i have the Avant never had that issue, maybe my wife has short legs!

What is more annoying is:
Rear Wiper on/off red light which is on the stalk is only visible if you look around the steering wheel.
58L fuel tank. Always filling up.

Even with those niggles, i still love it, and can live with them for ever... smile

MY15 520d Touring

The infotainment system is amazing, but the Nav is crap. It has Real Time Traffic etc. but the routes are just not good compared to things like Waze.

I thought I would hate the engine, I bought this to prove that going diesel doesn't really save you as much as people think as an overall cost. Reality is I have been pretty impressed with it, for a 4cyl it is refined in the cabin (different level to the old N47 and the Merc C220d in that regard) and it has averaged 46mpg over 18k miles since I got it earlier in the year.

So what annoys me? The gripe is fuel tank. It should have an 80 litre tank imho. That would give an 750 mile range on a tank to reserve. I get around 550 miles.
My 3.5 litre 2011 E350 petrol estate had an 80 litre tank and that got 500+.

Nothing else annoys me though. The most annoying thing is I actually quite like it, and it is a 2 litre 4cyl diesel. Haha
