Alfa Giulia. Rear parking sensors turn off when you select 'Park'. The fronts don't, so never park nose in to a wall as they start as soon as you start the engine!

Audi S4, seat belt clip rattles off the hard plastic surround that goes around the seat, annoying when someone moves the seat and you forget

Loaner Discovery (new one with the number plate), rear headrests obscure vision but when folded down rattle like nothing else. Had to hang a blanket off them for peace and quiet.

2004 Peugeot 307cc 2.0 16v 180...

Wipers are for left-hand drive and so is the interior, minus the dash/pedals/steering wheel.

Automatic wipers are largely useless.

Rear windscreen/boot catches all rainfall since previous opening and then dumps it all over contents of boot when you next open it.

Also the fact that I, a 26 year old heterosexual "petrolhead" male, actually own and enjoy a 307cc... well it makes people very angry/uncomfortable/aggressive. On the upside, I think people see the Peugeot badge and immediately give way/room to me, which is always a plus.

Mini Clubman F54 rear doors.

Firstly the rear view is not the best.

Washing the rear of the car seems to trigger the automatic door opener. The only time it works to hit you in the head.

Neighbours at the door stating the rear doors are open. Must be a very sensitive key so extra careful when parking at the shops. Our dog was sitting at a family members door once when we were visiting as it had opened again.

Saw a M140i doing the exact same thing in a multi-storey on Saturday. Had a walk around it just in case the driver was injured inside or something, but no-one to be seen and doors locked. I decided perhaps the owner had remote started it with a phone app or something to get it warm, but guess it was possibly the stop/start.
How stupid! Both my Vauxhall’s insignia and Audi and both restart the engine if you open the door

Range Rover hybrid doesn’t have a recharging function when the battery is gone it’s gone. Have to recharge off wall socket. Would be better if could recharge on the motorway so you have electric at your destination.

I have a long list for my Tesla don’t want to turn this into a bashing thread.

I owned both a 308 and DS5, found that the auto wipers in both were utterly useless, although the wipers in the DS5 were set up properly for RHD.

OH has a newish 5008 company car, the auto wipers in that are again, utterly useless. They won't clear the screen when it's covered in water, then starts wiping at maximum speed while in a light drizzle at 30mph. I've come to the conclusion that Peugeot Citroen just cannot do auto wipers.

Best car I've had for auto wipers is a Rover 75. You can genuinely switch them to auto and leave them alone, they'll never miss a wipe or start going berserk like PSA products.

2017 BMW 5 series

I have to select the driving mode I want EVERY time I start it up. Why can’t it remember the last setting?

The electric window buttons are right where your hand naturally falls to push the door open. Twice now I’ve had to go back to the car because a rear window is slightly open

One of my cars has had a remap and the boost levels seem to be able to be adjusted by pressing the demister button on the dash, took me ages to work out why sometimes it would hit 20psi then the next day would only do 8.

I am OK with my F30 starting in comfort mode. I agree that the drivers side window buttons (4), should be tactilely different between front and rear.

2011 Volvo V60- Constant electrical faults, had the car 12 months, so far had both driver side door locks replaced because they failed and wouldn't lock or would lock then not unlock. I now have an issue where the boot won't open and I'm.waiting on a.new.boot switch from Volvo Sweden. I imagine the passenger side doors will go next.

Also the BLIS system has intermittent faults.

The leather on seats is crap quality and bolster is badly worn on drivers seat.

I could probably go on.

Sorry, hello what. Why would you want to restart a car from opening a door, totally retarded. So how does your car know it's you who opened the door or the scrote who cloned your key oblivious to you.

Very clever you might think.. unnecessary st in my opinion.

And happy Christmas, if your car is still there....

He means when the car auto-stops, if you open the door the engine starts again, presumably so you don't park up and get out the car while the engine has auto-stopped thinking you've switched it off. My Astra's engine starts up again if I open the door while it's in auto-stop, the engine doesn't come on if I just open the door randomly.

Any auto Start st I am against tbh, the answer is no. Do all modern cars have auto Start as standard? It's a farce and totally ruins whatever is left of driver engagement with the car itself. I had a hire car in 2010 in Scotland, I remember it well as I just graduated and a company paid for a flight from Ireland to Edinburgh for a job and I was shocked with the heap of st of a car I had for a hire, a Daewoo I think with stop Start.. Just no.

I'll get a LS460 next that doesn't have stop Start st

I don’t like it either, does my head in. The Astra isn’t that bad, it only activates if I put the handbrake on and take my foot of the clutch, engine reactivates when I press the clutch.

I recently had an E-Class hire car, obviously an auto. Every time you stopped the engine cut off so you’d come to a give way, stop momentarily and the engine cuts off. I had to turn that off!

Celica 190. It has 'lift' where a second cam profile comes in at 6200 rev. Yes it's fun but it's bloody impossible to use it properly even on a spirited drive. The engine could take the secondary cam profile much earlier maybe 5-5500 rev and it would be great. As it is, I find it a right pain in the arse and spoils a decent idea and engine.

Had an Elise 111R with the same engine, and completely agree. Getting the lift point changed through the software transforms the car for the better.

Because of emissions testing. They have to default to the best economy setting because the testers aren't allowed to "press buttons". Hence everything defaults to economy mode and you cannot disable the mode.

Might be pressure sensitive, in mine if I just lightly hold the pedal it won't activate.
