Lack of cupholders in my car... Why build a saloon car that has a lazy V8, sumptuous seats, a fantastic hifi, floaty air-suspension and a fueltank that is good for nearly 600 miles of cruising, but then not give the driver and front seat passenger anywhere to put their beverage as the car is munching up the miles?!

Ashtrays however... I've got one in the front and three in the back. rolleyes

So cupholders, and the in-built obsolescence of the SBC braking system... Thanks, Bosche.

The creaky door seals.

BMW have applied tape but as soon as the car gets dirty it comes back. I only notice it when doing slow speed manoeuvres but it drives me up the wall.
Speaking of bmw rubber seals. This is my 1 series. 4 years old and it’s worn through already.

Mark 1 Yaris: no intermittent wipe on the tailgate wiper, only off or continuous. Only rarely is there enough water landing on it to leave the wiper running. Mostly it’s grinding against the glass after two or three wipes so I turn it off. Moments later I can’t see behind again. Turn in on, grinds, turn it off, over and over.

Got to be the lack of intermittent wipers on my car (they never came with them from the factory).

Wipers off, slow or fast... gets annoying in traffic when there is just light drizzle or spay from the road.

Oh, and they never came with hazard lights or heated rear screens either... fitted a hazard light kit myself and a HRW. So at some point I'll wire in an intermittent wiper function, just not got around to it yet (only had the car 9 years!).

Car is a 1970 Volvo Amazon.

Banish cup holders. Get outside the car to drink.

Lack of tail lamps when DRLs are on, no instrument cluster light with DRLs (the cluster is too hard to read when driving in wooded areas, before headlamps come on, and when driving into setting sun, both regular situations for me. Oh, and turn signal cancellation is too early on a small turn - the situation where you come up to a junction and have to align the car.
Hopefully, I will get these fixed at next service.

Volvo V60.

Boot doesn’t open high enough so if you’re a little tall you end up smacking your head on the latch.

According to the service delivery driver when tread gets below a certain level they do this more. I found fitting Goodyear Asy's to my Mk2 TT smoothed it out a lot and I will do the same on my Mk3 soon.

Totally useless reversing light, unlike the Mk2; opening the hatch when it's been raining = water in the boot space, just like the Mk2. About it really.
A Cree LED replacement of the reversing light bulb might make a big difference.

I find the driving position annoying on my Mk2.5 Focus ST ….. it's too high, even with the seat the lowest it can go.

Thanks both, my first thought too. The manual says I have 'maintenance free lights' so go to dealer. I'll have a closer look at some point although it's partly because it's now at the top of the cluster, so points up as much as back. Progress lol.

It's a beautiful dark blue/black hybrid and it shows every mark on it, including where some disrespectful oik at Lady Slopes work scuffed their bag across the bonnet and left two parallel scratch marks about a foot long on the bonnet. grumpy

MIni R53 - The cupholders in the front are in a really annoying position under the dash so you can't get anything bigger than a can of Coke in them, and getting anything out again is a pain.

Mk2 aygo - no feel what so ever to the clutch pedal & no centre vents to blow warm air at head height, no spare wheel from new is just stupid

Mk1 zafira 1.8 - gear ratios are too short on the motorway 70-80 is 3.5-4k revs

Mk2 kia rio 1.1crdi 1 Air - no heated mirror glass. Again no spare wheel.

My body on frame, solid axle 'proper' 4x4, which only actually engages 4WD half the time due to a dodgy vacuum system. I've been chasing faults with it for months & I'm about to give up & fit manual hubs.

E61 5 series touring. If you have the luggage cover in place and open the boot it lifts the cover up out of the way. Helpful....... as long as you remember to put it back down again before you set off....... which I never do! Blocks most of your rear view.
I had the same problem with my old E61. Solved by removing the luggage cover and leaving it in the garage.
Mine powers closed again, are you sure yours is working ok?
