Wow.

I know it says POA but can anyone tell us what the ballpark for this car would be sold for now?
I’d suggest whatever price you offer, plus £50k
Hate POA adverts, I always feel that they wait for a punter to make an offer and then inflate the price from there
I’d give 3 bob and a conked for it, I just don’t like it and would rather have a YellowBird or a GT2
Erm why would you start with an offer?

Every time I have looked at a POA car I have simply called up and asked how much they want for it. Funnily enough never had a sales man not tell me.

I know these things are subjective, and given the assumed price tag it's not a consideration I'm ever likely to have to make, but in my humble opinion that is an extremely ugly car. Looks like a badly put together jigsaw puzzle.

As the saying goes, if you have to ask...?

Sounds like it's around the same price as a CGT though ($1m ish), and the one with the famous V10 is going to be the more desirable car for that much money.

Agree that the looks aren't quite there. If you wanted to go for something different, the Hennessy Venom is stunning, with far nicer proportions.

Failing that, a Carrera GT would be nice, thanks!

I suspect it will work a lot better and be put together a lot better than a Hennessey
It is probably better put together than a car produced by Porsche
I personally would rather have a CGT, but am sure this is a lot of fun to drive

I fear you'd be very disappointed on both counts.

Rest assured the CGT is in another league altogether when it comes to build quality. Personally I'm not a fan of the CGT looks, but I'd have one over the CTR any time.

It is Leon's old car. It's been massively fettled by a well known UK Porsche Indy. I won't go in to detail with regards to the issues the owner had with the car AND with Ruf themselves, but he (Leon) displayed considerable patience and fortitude in dealing with what are regarded as the doyen of Porsche tuners by many, unfortunately what should have been a first rate product, fell short from many perspectives. I hope I'm not speaking out of turn, but I believe the PO now has a 918 with Weissach pack.

I'm going to go out on a limb and give it a hard pass. Technically well accomplished and I'm sure it's a spectacular steer, it just looks so oddly proportioned, like two Porsches from different eras cut and shut together

Doesn’t/didn’t that belong to somebody on Pistonheads?
Chap called Leon S did have one of these in the same colour (as well as another Ruf) and took it to VMAX at Bruntingthorpe a few times.

Not sure if this is his but there cant be many of these in the UK.
Saw his RUFs at VMAX quite a bit. Serious bits of kit.

Interesting that even Ruf ditch the rear-engine layout...

It's not, it's effectively a mid-mounted a 996/997 Turbo engine (the engine has been flipped around 180 degrees, a bit like a Cayman on steroids ...)

So they did in fact ditch the rear mounted layout.

There never seemed to be too much info around on these, but one of the few/only credible reviews was this by Auto Bild where it seems to flop around quite a bit and the restrained praise certainly gives the impression it may not be a fully resolved product.

How many of them did you buy?

My mistake, yes they did.

I think you’ve hit the nail on the head ...

IIRC the cars were supplied with some fairly basic Bilstein dampers, however this car has the benefit of a set of Ohlins TTX’s fitted, which vastly improved its manners.

There are some nice blingy bits fabricated by Ruf, but the car was let down (and spoilt) by poor detail engineering.
