I know I don’t like EV, it’s a given as they are all the same.
It’s unlikely is buy one so why on earth would I test drive it? Soulless bland cars.
Wow.It’s unlikely is buy one so why on earth would I test drive it? Soulless bland cars.
You are either an idiot or a troll, or I suppose a third option is both.
You said you don’t understand why people are fanatical about a Tesla. I said it was because they are a revelation to drive. You disagreed and said they were bland. But you haven’t even tried one?
Your garage lists an Audi A4, the literal definition of soulless and bland, There can’t be many other cars that scream I don’t care about cars than that.
So Imagine if you tried a bland A4 and someone said try an Atom, you say no thanks, all ICE cars are the same.

The article quotes the concept i4 as producing 530hp and a range of 350 miles.
To be absolutely honest, I'd be more impressed if it was 350hp and 530 miles range.
In the real world, wouldn't enhanced range be a bigger selling point?

The majority of complaints about plug in hybrids and EV that I read on here each day are the impracticalities of charging on the go or the range not being suitable for big mileage drivers.

TBH the reviews I've read are that they're not great to drive - I guess like all reviews it's down to opinion but 'a revelation to drive' might be pushing things a littleirocfan said:

That's not how it works though To be absolutely honest, I'd be more impressed if it was 350hp and 530 miles range.
In the real world, wouldn't enhanced range be a bigger selling point?
And I can't think of many 530hp cars that can do 350 miles on one 'tank'....

It’s probably more as most people don’t have a petrol station no their doorstep (mines a 10 minute round trip)
The M5 therefore seems like a mugs game.

I suspect you're not looking hard enough, or indeed at allAnd I can't think of many 530hp cars that can do 350 miles on one 'tank'....
With the much more important question which is which has the better range when actually using all that power to have some fun? That has to be an important bit of information. If you’re crossing country and giving it some beans as is normal in a non diesel rep wagon with big power what happens to the range? Is the EV better?
All the media guff assumes everyone is driving their 2 tonne, 500bhp wagons like pensioner Leslie from the hypermiling club but what PHers need to knownis which is better when the car is actually being used as intended. Anyone know?
