Are these Vloggers just a scam? SOL or Shmee etc? (Vol. 3)

For those unaware Matts father is the Chairman of that back street jewellery store... Tiffany And Co.... and IIRC a few clothing brands too. He was VP of Ralph Lauren and has something to do with Metro Bank so money is not really an issue in the Farah household.
I think Nico Rosberg is probably the wealthiest car vlogger though by quite a long way....
On top of those, CEO of Footlocker and Macys department store at some point too.I think Nico Rosberg is probably the wealthiest car vlogger though by quite a long way....

I darent say it but Archies new video was a surprise and very much worth a watch.
Great vid, and some insight into testing exactly what a man with his skills should be churning, all the other stuff with the Exton twins is a bit cringe. Hopefully it will get a load of views and Archie will concentrate on his track work Archie, for his enthusiasm still is interesting to watch, but it is sad that the majority of these Youtubers are giving us less content to watch. It's like the Minstrels bag gets bigger, but the contents reduce... save for CarWow videos, it seems a quarter if not almost half is building enthusiasm for the morsel of content they choose to share with you. STG can hopefully rebuild his content after his holiday with the Mrs is over, and I hope this imported Ferrari doesn't give Paul Wallace any aggro, like the Lamborghini has. He ought to sterr clear of VVS though.
Hope Archie does well with Porsche, avoid walls early on (see Jaguar, Paris ) and share some decent content
Just realised Matt Farah had reviewed a friends 360 Stradale last year. I had watched the video but never linked Mat Farah and Smoking Tire until now

I know of Matt Farah from Drive a few years back but found him quite annoying for some reason. However, discovering he's from a stinking rich background and is open about it, speaking his mind about the Saudi stuff, and his views on Tesla/Elon Musk, I definitely see him in a different light now.
Shmee's US trip, in my opinion was a country mile ahead of the stuff the other British you tubers are managing at the moment.
The rest are simply stuck on the hamster wheel of Trying to buy a new car which won't have depreciation and then blag as many new test drive launches as possible, which of course can be viewed on multiple channels.

I thought he was a self made guy? I remember he was part of the Speedhunters lot many years ago who did those organised races across the USA - I think he drove a limited edition mustang or similar; nothing exotic.TheAngryDog said:
Slightly on/off topic, but I would hate to be a new car youtuber starting up now. It is so saturated that new channels seem to struggle for subscribers unless they offer something very unique. Not worth the hassle, especially with the lack of money from AdSense etc.
For me, it's saturated only in that there are a lot of car related channels. The number of good quality ones though is pretty low in my opinion, I subscribe to very few, certainly compared to other interests I have. I'd certainly welcome a few more really consistently good channels.(YouTube's rewarding of quantity rather than quality, and clickbait, doesn't help though.)
I think a lot of sectors within Youtube have become saturated as people jump on the bandwagon, not just automotive.
I follow various fish keeping and shooting channels, and some oddballs like Hydraulic Press and Waterjet channel - ElectroBoom and SloMo guys, Mousetrap Monday and Lock-picking lawyer - it seems many people look at their content and try to emulate it, rather than improve on it or take it to the next level.
There will be the occasional breakthrough channel that will capture an audience and grow, but they will have to offer something distinguishable to stand out.

One of the most recent channels to blow up big time is Mr Beast who's gone from 9M subs to 26M subs in the space of a year and gets well over 10-12M views per video within couple of days of it being uploaded. 9M is still a good place to start from though!
I'm thinking as a complete newcomer to the platform, or a new channel that offshoots from one of the bigger names.
I'm not a creative type by any stretch - I can't even imagine how hard it would be to get a new idea or niche on youtube, and to get enough traction to make it grow to a sustainable business.

For Saudi Arabia it is part of a big shift to increase tourism and other areas of their economy and reduce the dependency on oil over time under what they call "Vision 2030". It was very heavy on the influencer front because people were invited through all sorts of different means; via the organisers, local dealerships, friends, manufacturers etc - very similarly to the big motorshows and FOS for example.
Perhaps they could start by not murdering journalists in their embassies?Still, as long as long as they put on a good spread that's the important thing!

It's not though is it, as has been explained many times on here and videos and Panorama documentaries and everywhere else.Just because the surnames are the same it doesn't mean they own the business (I know this because I don't own Clarks shoe shops )
TGE content is brilliant at the minute to be honest don’t think I’ve ever seen a bad video of his
Loving Shmee also watching his collection grow and can’t wait to see if he gets his own man cave
Would be great also if Tony from Gravelwood cars made a channel reckon that would boost his sales more
