When you can ‘rent’ a brand new vantage for 2 years for £1k per month you’d be daft to buy one really whether you had the cash to or not. Same goes for McLaren, madness to buy considering how they depreciate. Nothing wrong with financing something IMHO.

Hilarious. How do you know he doesn't have anything better to do and what his primary objective of the youtube channel is? Clearly lots of people enjoy watching it, including a few people here. He only does 1 video a week and there was a recent one he did which showed a trip to Italy for some driver tuition at ferrari which was excellent. Unfortunately this bottom of the barrel channel reflects the current state of YT automotive channels.
As for 'bad taste' of making that video in a rolls, jeez really? He is being flippant and polite about it, is no one allowed to say anything these days?

It's just yuppie TV really. They have done content on all the cars, the cost of running the cars now the depreciation of the cars. Any time they test anything outside the collection they don't like it (probably to fill that new faux controversial YouTuber niche that's sprung up)

To be fair he does do some impressive miles in the cars. He is a user over polisher I would say. He obviously has no need to create such vacuous content. If he's doing it as a pure retirement thing just do quality stuff like Harry. Who cares if it gets 5k or 100k views if you aren't concerned with the financials? Seems like the car guys seem more interested in polishing and looking at their cars and worrying about values than actually driving them, so not my cuppa.

Yeah but it's the opposite though? I could afford to buy all the cars I own outright (only have finance on two from a fleet of 7 currently and thats shortly about to become 1) and I'm sure a lot of people that have cars on finance which is basically everyone that hasn't sold a large publishing company for 80 million quid. It's just a really down your nose attitude not really to people like me but people that really do use finance to enable them to own their cars. I just found it a really spiteful thing to come out with. Maybe hes a bit envious of the more establioshed Tubers let's face it he can only really be talking about TGE/SOL and the like really but he's perhaps accidentally alienated most of his audience in trying to have a dig at the YT crowd (again faux controversy). Certainly needs to sharpen up and get back to what they were doing in the earlier days of the channel.
