I was but you can't keep buying cars just because you like them! It was nice though, I guess the Project 8 would be the obvious one to go to make room but that isn't going to happen as I'd much rather have the P8 in the garage than that V12 Vantage..
Yeah fair enough that Jag is pretty special alright! Drekly said:
The latest Harry's Garage on the 992 Carrera S was a brilliant review but I became aware of the super clear digital MPH display, it must have been tempting to stick a piece of black electrical tape over that to make editing easier.
a great review but every new gen of 911 seams to be more removed from driving, manual replaced by auto and now you dont use the paddles and let the auto do it all ...alistair1234 said:
Same, there is six 2 seater supercar/sports cars. 2 focuses (foci?), then an FF and the G-Wagon.
Absolutely nothing wrong with that, but i wouldn't call it well rounded.
You see I see a good mix myself. Yes there may be 6x 2 seater supercar/sports cars but they're really quite varied subjectively. V6, V8, n/a/ and boosted, front and rear/mid engined, manual and auto, coupe and convertible etc. Something for every preference! Absolutely nothing wrong with that, but i wouldn't call it well rounded.

I was thinking quite the opposite.
I know the Shmee 'brand' is all about 'The Supercar Lifestyle' but it is very one dimensional collection with too much duplication of purpose.
But, fair play to Tim, his 'Lamborghini Crashing in the street' video popped up in my 'recommended' feed the other day, I think that was his first viral video and only 5 or 6 years ago, so he's come a long way since then.
I'd say it's pretty diverse - Ford Focus at one end, Mclaren Senna at the other. Performance SUV in the middle. What would make it more multi-dimensional whilst staying on the 'supercar dream' theme?I know the Shmee 'brand' is all about 'The Supercar Lifestyle' but it is very one dimensional collection with too much duplication of purpose.

Yet another good piece from Harry's Garage. I love the diversity of the cars on show in his videos. ro250 said:

Some cars more than a couple of years old? Something lightweight (Elise, Caterham, even the Morgan 3-wheeler that was briefly in the fleet). An old school classic of some sort.
No need to duplicate up the AMG and FF as usable exotics.

Fair enough, not sure something older works for the channel though - I got the sense the old Mini he had was a source of frustration and presume it didn't bring in the views otherwise it would have stayed. An old school classic of some sort.

Finally, as that chap on HG keeps on saying; thanks for watching, more videos coming along very soon..
Fantastic stuff. Harry’s Farm is equally compelling viewing for those not yet subscribed.Stussy said:
Nobody has to
As above, it's their job in many cases, so they kind of do.But even those who don't "have" to will chase algorithm metrics and numbers much of the time, making content they think will perform well.
Harry quite clearly makes the videos he wants to, the way he wants to, and that's how things "should" be. It's really good that people agree with his taste in cars and video style and as such it's going well for him, though.
Likewise I think most of us respected Danny's decision to back off doing videos and get on with what he enjoyed doing instead more.

Sounds like a massive departure from what the channel is about to me unless he was going to deliberately buy something that is a huge liability, even then it’s a bit Car Throttle isn’t it?
Horsey McHorseface said:
That’s the attraction. A massive departure + lots of breakdowns + Tim out of his comfort zone = plenty views.
In that case forget eBay - he should go to a properly dodgy car graveyard trade auction (like Cannock for example - not BCA/Mannheim/anywhere reputable like that) where only the best* part exchanges go through the ring. Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
