Are these Vloggers just a scam? SOL or Shmee etc? (Vol. 3)
Discussion
Plenty of shady used exotic part dealers on IG who funny enough are all based in the UK.
I remember this one seller on IG who sold Lamborghini parts, brand new seats, engines, you name it but couple parts caught my eye.
He had a post for a brand new SVJ spoiler just weeks after the SVJ was announced, dealer systems weren't updated with part #'s and customer deliveries were months away. Another post was for an OEM Performante spoiler with a part number which was entirely made out of forged carbon. No idea where or how he got the spoiler because the spoiler must have came from a pre-production car.

Tim,
When you get a second I’d love to know a little more about your Mansory videos.
Do they do well in terms of views - ie is there a market for it Maybe amongst younger viewers who love the wild nature ?
Or are you going with the vids because you like the mods they have done?
Obviously never seen the cars up close but the workmanship looks good but the style certainly doesn’t do it for me.

Maybe I qualify as a young thing being 25. To he honest the likes of Mansory, Novitec etc do not appeal to me. Lamborghini in general doesn’t appeal to me, I personally prefer a more GT oriented car such as an F12, Astons, Bentley Conti GT, Merc SLS/AMG GT and the like. I understand why the younger generation again would like them (saying that makes me feel very old)When you get a second I’d love to know a little more about your Mansory videos.

Name, age, address and "specialist subject" all seem to match up.
Coincidence?

If a McLaren cannot be rebuilt without buying parts from McLaren - at considerable expense - the cars will just be left by the wayside, insurance premiums will escalate prohibitively, and the cars will eventually die a slow death.
If this shop is buying up crashed cars and selling the parts at a fraction of the cost of the marque what's wrong with that? The inference is that the shop are obtaining the cars illegally and implicating Freddy by association. This may or may not be true, but the net result only benefits the marque.
I think Freddy has inadvertently opened up a can of worms with this latest video. He'll get his money back short term, but he'll struggle to source parts for the car going forward as I'm sure this parts shop will duck out to save themselves from the vitriol of the internet. When and if that happens Freddy will lose a lot more than $16k as will Alex rebuilds.

Anyone noticed LLF is building a ‘stoker’ engined gtr?
Cant stand his content really but youtube insists on showing it to me. Made me laugh his latest idea is to make a big power gtr without a clue as to what he’s doing. Presume he’ll run some pyramid scheme to sell it once done!
He isn't doing it - a well respected builder is. JM are advising the build route, the budget etc etc. I know he makes himself an easy target but surely this is the way anyone would get their car to big power levels?Cant stand his content really but youtube insists on showing it to me. I'm very, very curious to see how LLF gets on with his build. Fair play to him and he obviously has experience of this power level of car (which I don't).
It is my experience though once you start doing that much to a car that they become borderline unusable on the road, and they also don't seem to last that long.

Totally agree Jayemm, there is a point where a car has too much power.
Ive noticed this on Calvin Car Dairy. He modifies his cars to the point I reckon they become too difficult to drive on the road, plus driving them looks challenging. His current car is a M6 and currently has 750bhp which is even a handful on a dry road so christ knows what its like in the wet.

Have I missed a Tavarish video? I saw the one about $16k going missing, but unless I misunderstood it, he was saying it's some kind of banking snafu, not blaming the supplier.
Absolutely 100% agreeNo idea where these comments are coming from, it’s clearly stated in the video it’s a BOA issue. A bank loosing their customers money, happens all the time and I’ve been in a very similar situation before. I really hope he gets his hard earned back . I wonder if people on this thread actually watch the videos sometimes ...

American YTbers are good at reaching out to their audience when trying to resolve issues with corporate entities. Rob Ferretti uses it all the time to good effect and I suspect this was Freddy's intention as he has specifically mentioned BOA. Regardless of what the actual issue is, I'm not sure I'd want to deal with a popular YTber - with over a million subscribers that could publicise issues just like that.
It's slightly different over this side of the pond. I think we prefer not to air our dirty linen in public so to speak. Jayemm did and look at how many views his McLaren video got. Shmee has 2m subs but you'll struggle to find one of his vids where he airs a grievance.
It can be effective but I think the potential impact on the parts supplier is perhaps the unintended consequences as far as this video is concerned.

Nothing wrong, I just stupidly forget to show them! I was so distracted by something else I was filming simultaneously nearby that I completely and totally forgot to open and show the engine covers on the video.
The next problem is that after the filming, I gave the car to my manager who lives 500km away from me and will now have it for 3 weeks so I won't see it again to show them until mid July, whoops...
Thanks for the reply Tim, much appreciated. I'll look out for an update at a later date The next problem is that after the filming, I gave the car to my manager who lives 500km away from me and will now have it for 3 weeks so I won't see it again to show them until mid July, whoops...

The supplier is saying that they haven’t received it. He’s got no reason to doubt them having placed a previous order with them for around $30k where he did receive the items.
It will be interesting to see where the blame actually lies, there are numerous possibilities.
