Are these Vloggers just a scam? SOL or Shmee etc? (Vol. 3)

I was clicking around youtube the other day and Mat Armstrong and TGE released a video at the same time.
Mat Armstrong had 14k views after an hour and TGE had 940.
TGE's brand is spiralling downwards out of control. A clear difficulty in telling the truth (his holiday and lack of observing C-19 rules) and a general tone of bitterness towards others who are more successful (JWW) and a strongly negative attitude towards anyone who has a different point of view to him. At least he thinks he is correct!
Will he be the next SOL?
Getting to the top is one thing, but holding it there is much harder. Makes you realise how hard people like Shmee and JWW work to stay there.
I'm not convinced I'd class using your dad's wealth and your mate's cars as successful. I also wouldn't be putting Shmee and JWW in the same category. Which rules did TGE break regarding COVID19?Mat Armstrong had 14k views after an hour and TGE had 940.

Personally it might not be to do with c-19 rules and bitterness, typically it is not un common for youtubers to explode have a good 12-18 months of views and then the channel goes stale or the viewers mature and move on to different channels and i think that is what effecting his viewership only so many times some one can collect a car do a vid then move it on without people getting bored.Mat Armstrong had 14k views after an hour and TGE had 940.

TGE has numerous sources of income. His main use of YT has probably been to drive business to his other brands and his success has been enormous in relation to the amount of time and effort he has put in. He probably puts his time into whatever gives him the best return - whether financial or enjoyment.
I love how people keep saying Pauls channel is dead, I just checked it out expecting low views, and his last 5 videos are 60k, 104k, 84k, 40k and 126k.
That's a nice amount of dead to me. Not far off JWW, ahead of Sam.
In fact if you look at socialblade, he's had 3m views the past 30 days which is double JWW, Sam, TGE.

People have been saying it about SOL for at least 2 years on here now and yet there he is still living off YouTube, still getting a lot of views and still make thoroughly average and full content. Amazing really. That's a nice amount of dead to me. Not far off JWW, ahead of Sam.

Matt Armstrongs channel seems to be growing pretty fast.. Likeable fella and his last vid is an honest view of his background.
Agreed 100%. I stumbled upon his vids when I was looking at S5 V8's (for the 100th time in the last few years) and i've enjoyed his content since then. He puts the effort into his projects and his A/V production and also seems to be a nice guy.CourtAgain said:

Anyone seen the EvilGT channel on YT?
Couple of normal 40 something north west based friends who now have a small fleet of performance cars.
GTR, RS3, RS4, Focus RS, S15, Q3RS
Entertaining, unpretentious viewing.
Have a look.
Isn't this the channel with the guy that talked about losing 50k on PCP deals as he kept changing his cars early on that was discussed a while back on this thread?Couple of normal 40 something north west based friends who now have a small fleet of performance cars.

Yep, think it’s been brought up here too. I find them very watchable, obviously very comfortable in front of the camera.Couple of normal 40 something north west based friends who now have a small fleet of performance cars.

The vid the other day with those awful ‘carbon’ dipped RS4 mirrors was pretty funny. Could just imagine that on any other channel “oh they’re superb”. Not them! Was pretty much “They look awful and the bloke’s a menace” which I think was pretty justified given the whole fiasco.

The benefit SOL has is a large back catalogue of content...views on his old content will be providing him with a certain level of income, perhaps he just doesn't put in the effort to create the new videos because the old ones provide him with sufficient to live the lifestyle he does and he'd rather put effort into other ventures?
What other ventures? It is the laziest content.
I wonder what Lamborghini Tim/Shmee will get, I hope it is something more old school and not a Huracan of some sort.

Has he said he's getting one?If he has, I think you're going to be disappointed. With his demographic I can't see them being interested in buying a car from the 80s or 90's.
any of the modern Urus, Huracan, Aventador would pay for itself in youtube views for him. He can we out one of those to millions of views easily.

Did shmarc give him permission?
Shmee was "contemplating" a Lamborghini for the channel, no doubt like a Transport for London "Consultation" this will have already happened and be pushed through he must dip back on here and read that owning all the variants of the Mercedes AMG GT is a yawnfest... no time to check his channel TBH, perhaps at the weekend
