I have to ask again.

How does "DMO" get away with driving like a man possessed on the road?

My guess is he doesn't care about being caught.
Interestingly his DMO plate on the E63 doesn’t actually show up on any of the databases online, perhaps that’s how he avoids the cameras? And of course he doesn’t display anything on the front.

You’d think having a traffic car behind him would potentially flag it up, but thats usually a rare occurrence these days. The speed he drives at wouldn’t give them much of a chance catching up with him either.

I bought my old one for £16200 cry

That was with a Katana supercharger kit fitted (240bhp), Ohlins and various other mods. Car was mint too and only things to attend to were a crack in the windscreen (done through insurance) and the exhaust had seen better days. Gutting.

I have to say that I couldn't face paying mid to late 20's for an S2 when an S3 can be had for £10k more.
Amazing price in hindsight! They are pretty pricey now true but compared to a £35k Golf R which everyone seems to have the ownership costs are minimal given it won't depreciate. Still, I went for a Honda car to get the straight line performance of a Cup260 but at a much reduced price, also feel less bad about copious track use.

I think part of the renaissance is the acceptance that actually far from the old stereotype they are very very reliable now with the Toyota drive train. Probably the cheapest to run performance car around....

Think they're just show plates, real reg is different. Sure I saw a pic of it entering the vmax venue with no plates at all attached then the show plates went on.

Agreed. Staggering performance with very little running costs.

Interesting to hear of an S2 fitted with a Honda. Very rare beast. Also slightly surprised that it would be that much cheaper than a Cup 260 I must say - would have thought that a Honda'd car (even NA) wouldn't be too far from the same price. Or at least before Cup 260's went stratospheric!

Watched for about 10 seconds before I had to turn off, how do you watch that st?! I guess the target audience is for pre pubescent teens. That guy gives off a weird “I want to fk my sister” vibe. Beyond weird.

Think Cup260s are around £35k these days! Decent Honda cars are around £25k so decent saving. Coming from tracking a Mustang V8 I'm shocked by how minimal the running costs are. Sips fuel and my rear R888Rs were only £115 each, just doesn't use brake pads etc. Very happy with it and junior supercars looks. S2 has aged very very well given it came out in 2001!

WTF is that nonsense? laugh

Enjoyed the MCM Exige stuff and just wish I could fit in one. Local one to me has an Audi turbo conversion and is insanely quick. I'd prefer the s/c Honda lump myself though.

£35k for a Cup 260? You're having a laugh hehe Last one I know to sell went for £40k+

S2 Exiges for sale are currently quite rare (9 on PH right now and I think 2 are NA cars that have been converted).

The "less special" ones like mine seem to be hovering around the late 20's/early 30's right now but some high mileage bargains can be had lower in the 20s. When you start throwing around the 'specials' such as the Cup 240/255/260 or the RGB you're quickly into the very high 30s.

I'd agree that coming into the brand from the outside I'd really struggle to justify that when there are entry level V6's coming into the mid/low 30s now, or even an S3 Elise Cup too... but the relative rarity of the S2 Exige seems to be keeping them afloat (generally there are many more S3s to choose from).

It's the same with the videos of the 1000bhp Civic he posted the other day, the speed is mental on the videos the way he cuts through traffic, same with the quads.

Don't get me wrong i quite like watching cars getting thrashed but when he crashes not if he will be wiping alot of people out.

I go 3mph over the speedlimit by mistake and get points for it haha.

Speaking of DMO, has anyone seen his Instagram story where he’s calling Vmax200 stuck up and that he’s going to make his own Vmax instead. This should be interesting.

There's a lovely turbo 300bhp Toyota s2 exige for £29k which I'm trying to convince my mate to get hehe Must sound like Darth Vader

The 'base' S3 V6 Exiges are great road cars but not great on track 'as is' imo, need about £10k thrown at them to keep up with a Cup 260. No intercooler means they're way down on power after a lap or 2, soft suspension, 2-300kg heavier etc.

Have to admit I found this thread a lot more interesting with input from Tim, Jay and even Beefy who gave an insight of how stuff worked behind the camera.
Would agree with Tim and Jay's input, However from what i have seen from 'Beefy' he was just a bully who acted as if he was some youtubing god but in reality he has no following on insta, youtube and twitter and came across very much as a brown noser.

I don't think that they would have any problem, his driving looks awful.

If he can get access to a venue etc there's nothing stopping him I guess? I'm just surprised that all involved (or should that be Evolved? Sorry getmecoat ) aren't being a bit more savvy about using the rivalry in a respectful way to boost their views etc?

When he drops all the 'man dem innit' fam' bull he actually comes across OK but all the 'street' and driving like an utter dick tip takes over. He needs to step away from the sweets too, or else he'll be looking to Jacamo to supply those DMOne'sy's.

Yeah I've seen that, it looks ace biggrin

I think that's a fair comment on the base V6, but then again a Cup260 will also heatsoak badly in stock form too - so they might slow down together hehe

You can draw your own conclusions on safety, but tell me the Chinese aren’t going to dominate the EV market. At least in the budget sector.
