Blah blah. That statement is pathetic. Doubt he says. Given the car missed by 50mph I’ll wager the ‘we’re doing a re-run’ will take some time. Go Tim! https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v...

There is only one way to put this to bed and thats go back and do the run again.
Using proper timing gear (i.e point to point timing with beams) with independent 3rd party verification.
Even if SSC say ahh here is the real video because ooops we made a mistake... ho-ho-ho then its still not enough they need to do it again IMVHO.
It was obvious they would have to do it again.Using proper timing gear (i.e point to point timing with beams) with independent 3rd party verification.

Part of me is also very sus that this whole thing has been for PR.
Now they are bringing "vloggers" into this, I am even more sus its all for PR.

I don't really care about pissing contests but I struggle to understand how these engineers ever though a car with that gearing and final drive could hit that speed?Go Tim! https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v...

It would be a 1000 times more impressive rather than inviting some vloggers if they invited GWR officials with proper timing gear over a measured distance etc.Part of me is also very sus that this whole thing has been for PR.

I disagree about the SSC follow up videos being dull, personally I think fair play to Tim, Misha, Robert for seemingly being right to question the record and SSC for eventually coming out and saying they will re-run things. I'd much rather see some detailed analysis that someone walking round a car shouting 'cash' or 'phat' etc. I'd be amazed if it does actually do the claimed speed at the same revs etc as first claimed.

I agree. They're more entertaining than the actual SSC videos.A) Someone 'reviewing' a car without any critical thinking or value add observations
B) Someone discussing what stitching they will spec on their new car
C) Someone putting a deplorable exhaust and horrendous wrap on an otherwise reasonable car
D) Someone embarrassing themselves by trying to sell some absolute nonsense product / scheme
E) Someone developing a shred of an original observation / thought and spinning it out over a lengthy video, constantly repeating as if the audience were 5 years old
Sadly that doesn't apply to more of the content online but ultimately it is FOC and there is choice, so it's hard to complain too much. However, I don't agree with the complaints about the recent critical SSC content.

Shmee, Misha and Robert are all suffering from small penis syndrome. Give it a rest already and move on, more important things going on in this World.
The videos they've released are some of the dullest known to man. I imagine they've set some records of their own. Would be quite funny if they do a rerun and smash the record!

....but I was still left wondering why everyone is going in so hard on this. I bet he wouldn't have made all this fuss if it was AMG!
I don't think they've gone 'too hard' just a couple of videos each, and I'm sure they all only did the second as the first videos were popular. (That said, I've not watched the follow up vids as I'm not too interested in the 'beef')However, I'll add my name to the list of being in favour of Shmee's first video, nothing wrong with have the odd video of discussion rather than driving.
It is also a valid point that there probably wouldn't be as much vocal skepticism of a record attempt from a more established marque. (Although didn't Misha once do a video claiming Lambo or someone didn't set a Ring record?)

(That said, I've not watched the follow up vids as I'm not too interested in the 'beef')That analysis took a long time. To use Tim as an example, he's a very busy person.
It was also loads of screenshots of support, shares etc. on Instagram and probably other platforms too.
Doing a second video (which I haven't watched) seems a bit overkill on the same subject. Why do they care so much?
Looks like Tim's put another video up now.
