20 grand seems a lot for that to be honest. It's very nicely done though.
Agreed. I'm not sure where they're getting the 35k price for a real one from as this isn't far from a decent one at 20k

There was a V8 swapped one on eBay that sold for 8ish grand not long ago. Not as tidy as that one but on throttle bodies and looked a lot of fun.

I miss thrashing this idiot around the airfields of Lincolnshire. Had some fun around Manby, Swinderby, Binbrook and the like in this beast

Massively over priced it’s a modified Sierra azura, even if it was a genuine cosworth with that v8 engine swop it would not be worth anything close to the asking price. It does look good though !

Just came across this one, looks like a...
but with TVR V8 looks like a work product, nice, not expensive.

https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1396974

Looks nice, it is registered as a 3.5 however
ow, thats not so nice/good, he better change that in the paperwork to the TVR 4.2 or 4.3
I guess the HP figure will be off then as well? now 280hp standard 4.3 guess the 3.5 could have been a 190hp-ish or less.
Is it difficult in the UK to adjust such in the paperwork?

in the Netherlands with cars older then 1998 its stil not to difficult if there is already a V8 in on paper, then its just proof were the engine is from and proof of the hp, they look if all is decently mounted and brakes etc and then they adjust it.

But cars from 1998 its a different story, then it could be very difficult, depends also who you meet at the RDW/Check station.

I do wonder if it would be anywhere near as quick as the Turbo Technics car with the same quoted power

Just came across this ad, guess I forgot that one, the SA(frica) Ford Sierra XR8 RHD V8 version, rare and perhaps collectable and drive in one? some work needed looking at the headline for example, but ist not an expensive car. 25k

I like these too - never seen one obviously.

I also remember when we had a bit of an influx of Escort MK2 Sports from South Africa - they always looked a bit tougher than ours, as does this Sierra.

Having never been to South Africa are they set up like this for their roads / and or just rally homologation spec. Looks quite beefy and alot higher than my friends old XR4i

Feels wrong to say it, but 25 grand doesn't seem unreasonable for that.

2 and a bit years on did anyone buy it?

"The £14,000 being asked for our Pill being is close to the bottom of the market for a genuine Cossie these days, especially a 4x4."

As these start at £25k now!

Using mine for the work commute this week, whilst the roads are quieter.

The arches on the xr8? They're standard fitment.
I think I'd rather an xr8 over a Cosworth, I've always fancied a v8 Sierra. smile
