Most "average" GT2RS owners don't need any more speed & the one I saw (a nice Weissach package), the owner would have been better off in a Cayenne, after going over a bridge expansion strip in damp conditions, the rear stepped out & he went into the armco so hard it ripped one of the turbos off & separated the engine & gearbox

Sure there are some talentless owners out there, but I’d honestly say you say far more genuinely capable Porsche GT car owners than any other marque. Even a quick browse through YouTube will find plenty of GT3 RS’s being driven very hard on track, and I see plenty on track days in the UK. There will be guys out there with the money and ability to notice the difference.....look up Sebastian Vittel on YouTube. He’s not rubbish...

Unfortunately he's a proper tt though, should have been barred from Tourist laps due to his driving.

Can’t say I’ve seen anything bad. Assume you’ve got a story?

Correct me if I’m wrong as I don’t know a lot about Porsche’s but I struggle to see how this time is credible, it’s a modified car with 90k spent on it, it’s not a production car from Porsche so how is it a big deal!

If you have a GT2 RS you can order the Manthey upgrades yes. A snip at 95,000 Euro's for the parts and labour....

https://www.manthey-racing.de/MR_Flyer_Porsche_911...

For that you get:

MR AERODYNAMIC PACKAGE
Package consisting of front splitter, flaps, aero curtain, rear diffuser, reinforced
engine lid incl. gurney and rear wing with side plates and wing support brackets

MR SUSPENSION KIT ADJUSTABLE
Independently adjustable in rebound and compression forces and high performance race springs

MR BRAKE PAD SET
Brake pad for street- and trackday use

MR BRAIDED BRAKE LINE SET
Brake line set with layer of stainless steel woven braid for better pedal response

MR ADDITIONAL WATER TANK
Tank to enlarge the volume of the standard reservoir

MR MAGNESIUM WHEEL SET INCL. COVER RA
Weight reducing rim set with aero cover, available in brilliant silver, platinum
silver, satin black or gold
Why doesn’t the top of the range 911 limited build special gt2 have braided brake hoses anyway?

I can't help but read all of the above as Mister! "Mr. Additional Water Tank".
I now feel inclined to change my family name to "MAGNESIUM WHEEL SET INCL. COVER RA"

"You are welcome Mr. MAGNESIUM WHEEL SET INCL. COVER RA"

It’s a road legal car built by a Manthey Racing which is a very successful motorsport division owned by Porsche. The 90k price is justified because of the significant amount of chassis and aero components, and testing, that has gone into this car. It has a full warranty from Manthey Racing, who can also deal with Porsche warranty issues as they are a registered service centre for Porsche.

The KW suspension is very expensive (according to Chris Harris) as are magnesium wheels (I’ve seen a video on YouTube in which the price of the wheels from Porsche are discussed and the American owner states that they are $50k!!) Of course if you already have the Weissach package you wouldn’t need to buy them from Manthey so there would be a significant saving there.

Watch from 17.15 for the wheel chat.

And this if you haven’t already. Not normally my type of thing strictly but this just looks so right.

Surprised no-one has yet mentioned the brakes. Dropping 120 mph in 3.5 seconds at the end of the straight is massive. Even more so if it's doing it on road legal rubber.
